Dot 3 and dot 4 are the same thing both are synthetic. DO NOT use a dot 5 that is a silicone fluid used for OLD model cars.

06 gsxr 1000 backfires

Back firing is normally due to two things,

Ignition timing happening at the wrong time. This can be over advanced where it back fires through the carbs, and retarded when it fires through the exhaust.

Unburnt fuel in the exhaust can cause detonation by hot gases or carbon..

Yours is strange that it is happening in both places! That can be caused by badly sealing valves, but you have the compression?

Have you checked ignition timing?

My 2002 suzuki gsxr 1000 has lost its rear brakes. the pads are good and theres plenty of fluide. ive tryed bleeding them and the pads still will not engage

When you bleed brakes make sure bleed nipple is pointing downwards and the whole caliper is upside down so the fluid runs through the whole system, each time i change pads on mine i have to do this for some reason. Hope that helps

The front brakes on my 06 GSXR 600 won't bring the bike to a complete stop. The brake lever is an aftermarket item that was installed 2 years ago. I rode the bike once in the last yr 1/2 due to a...

Check the fluid level in the front master cylinder. Chances are you need to add some brake fluid and then bleed air out of the system. There is a bleeder valve on the handlebar at the lever and one on top of the wheel caliper. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

WHAT KIND OF BRAKE FLUID SHOULD I USE FOR MY 06 GSXR 600

Hae, for the brake fluid you can use either as long they're the recommended fluid either a DOT 3 or 4. For the brand it is your choice, all will work as long as it meets the standard criteria set in your owner's service manual.
Good enough. Don't forget to rate as we are giving free advice to help the community. Cheers.

C-clamp, and turn it in slowly to avoid damage to brake parts. Take lid of master cylinder is good idea prior, just to help a little.
