Hi! I've had a 2004 VW Jetta since last November (had 39K on it). It has worked perfectly throughout the winter and spring. Not that it's summer, I've had a small intermittent problem: after leaving work and making a stopover on the way home on warm days, the car won't start on the first try, but starts immeadiately after. I hear no clicks or any noises that might indicate a problem with the starter, and I don't think the battery's low. This has happened about 3 times in the last month, under pretty much the exact same conditions. Any ideas? Thanks!

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind! I'm no expert, but I'd think that if the fuel pump were to blame, I'd be getting shaky thrust while I'm driving also, especially when fuel is running low, am I right?
I want to think that putting some fuel injector cleaner and using higher octane gas might help out...

POSSIBILITY HERE IS THAT THE FUEL PUMP IS ACTING UP. THE REASON IS BECAUSE WITH THE WARMER TEMPERATURES THE PUMP HAS TO WORK MORE AND THIS WILL CAUSE IT TO MALFUNCTION
