It sounds like there is a problem with the power wire. It could just be a bad connection but more likely it's corrosion or a broken end at one of the plug-ins. It could also be the insulation rubbed off somewhere along the way. It's probably easiest to run a new wire from the relay back to the plug-in. Hope this helps.

I have a 1982 Camaro RS 305 V8 5 speed, here's the problem with my beauty.. She's not starting! New battery, starter, ignition switch, fuel pump kicks on, there is spark and power but won't turn over. Any...

This car did not have that system, in fact it had no security system at all, that came later on in the late 80's and it was called "Passlock", the key have a little resistor embedded in it that was read by the key cylinder sensor. No, you need to check basic things like is the engine getting spark? Is the timing chain OK? and so on basic checks for a no start. Does it start if you spray fuel into the Carburetor? if not then check for spark. I know this car well had one for 20 years, it was a Trans Am (same chassis and engine) and it was a piece of gutless junk, did $20,000 in upgrades to make it perform, but in the end every time I drove it something broke, also leaked oil all over my driveway.. Sold it for $2,500.00 and good riddance. Never bought GM again. MOPAR all the way now!!

Gauges in 92 camaro rs stopped working

Remove it..Probably installed incorrectly . Tach is probably incorrectly wired into the distributor harness and effecting rpm voltage to the speedometer and may possibly blown the voltage regulator to the gauge in the dash.

OK I'm gonna try and explain the best I can. my 1992 camaro rs 3.1 is cutting out real bad. it will start right up but when I hit the gas it bogs down. it idles really high. I've changed t

It sounds like a fuel delivery issue, you may have a bad injector. this would cause too much fuel going into engine and cause the lack of power. First try adding fuel injector cleaner to your gas and get the highest octane at the pump, if that doesnt work pull the plugs and look for one that is wet or has higher carbon build up.

Need fuse diagram for 1996 camaro ss fuel pump

This is for Z28--5.7L engine. I'd have to check voltage and ground for the fuel pump. At the fuel pump connector, gray wire is voltage, black is ground, check them both. Sometimes fuel pump will run but won't make good pressure, if any? You could jump load side of relay to see if pump will run and make proper pressure. The load side is that arm with arrowhead.
Engine cranking, you have spark at the plugs and fuel injector pulse, just trying to see if you have more than one problem?

91 camaro rs 3.1 v6 will not start has code 12 and code 54

Well code 12 means you are in the test mode of the computer, so skip that one.
Code 54 is telling you the fuel pump circuit voltage is low, which could be the pump relay.

The fuel pump in my 92 Camaro RS isn't coming on. When I drove my car for about 9 miles it died out, and when I tried to start it the fuel pump didn't come on. The fuel pump has been replaced twice...

I could bet wrong, but check this out. if the security system its failing, it can turn off you fuel pump. Or the signal to start injectors. Read up on this link. It explains all about it. Symptoms. Trouble shooting. Do it yourself solutions. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

I dont have power on a 89 camaro rs fuel pump

First of all you will only have voltage for 2 seconds after key is turned on from the fuel pump relay. after that when you begin to spin the engine over oil pressure then builds up and closes the contacts on the oil sending unit causing the fuel pump to stay powered up as long as it's spinning or it's crunk and running.
so while you check for power on the tan with white stripe at fuel pump , have someone bump the engine over, if you have power up until about 2 seconds after they let off the key then check ground to pump if it's ok then you'll need a fuel pump.
If you don't have voltage when it's spun over then check the red wire coming from the oil sending unit the same way you checked it at the fuel pump.
If you have voltage then check inline fuse beside the battery. if fuse is'nt blown then check for broken wire from there to fuel pump.
If you don't have voltage from red wire at oil sending unit then check for voltage on orange wire at sending unit, if you have voltage on the orange wire and not on the red wire while someone is spinning it over then replace the oil sending unit.
If you wanna do a quick check that makes sure your relay isn't the problem Go to your 12 way diagnostic connector under dash by stearing wheel. and touch a battery hot wire to pin G if relay is ok the you should hear the fuel pump come on.

Starts but wont stay running

In reply: if its not the maf there are 2 relays in the relay box i belive its underhood, 1 primes the fuelline to 32psi the second kicks in after it starts, and keeps it running and varies the psi. if the primer relay isnt kicking in then it wont start due to no fuel
