The starter is just above the engine casing or to the side. It is like a cylindrical object whose on is synchronised with ring gear.

15hp Koehler, new battery, solenoid, starter, coil. While trying to start the fly wheel turns approx 1/4 turn then stops with some clicking. When I help rotate flywheel and try again it will start.
New batteries often need to be recharged before being installed. If it does it when battery is fully charged then your statter needs replaced.

Will not start lights work and I here the fuel pump working but will not start
check all wires for breaks or shorts ..(lots of vibes in sporty) from/to ign box,,could be statter/or ign modual check "kill switch" too.....

My harley will not turnover compression it keeps flattening the battery it has had 2 brand new batteries on it when trying to start it , it worked ok last week then just would not start when i went to it...

I just install a new battery in my bike but seems like it's not charging cause the battery it's dead could it be the generator or what could be the ploblem when I put the new battery was working...
The generator is called a statter. The battery is going dead cause the voltage regulator is bad. Worked on hyosungs for 5 years. Never seen a statter bad Voltage regulator is located under the seat MOPAR KENNY

Needs statter replaced or regaltor replaced charge battery start bike put a voltmeter on battery to see how many volts is charging shouid be 13,50 try that MOPAR KENNY

Starts with fully charged batter ( new ) aournd 12.6 Volts. Ignition on, but engine off it reads 11.3 volts. With engine running at 2000 rpm, the read is 11.7 volts. The bike seems to **** the battery...

I got a 250 2002 ninja. It won't go into gear and I need to rebuild the engine because it smokes a lot. What would be my first step to fixing it? I'm a chick that doesn't know too much about fixing a ninja...
if it wont go into gear it may be your statter or clutch. Hard to tell, what i always do is take my bike in when i have problems like this, have them diagnose the problem, get a list of part numbers and do the work yourself :) :)

hi have a Apache 100cc quad fuel issue as it did start and run as should but the problem was that when riding it for some reason it would just lose all power till let the revs off then on again I think this was a fual problem but have no idea and to top it off are kid as being messing with the golden screw/bolt in the carburetor so now it starts but soon as it is reved it cuts out ..... any help would be helpful thanks

GSF 600 TURNS OVER BUT WONT START attempted to be stolen nd hot wired . have fixed cut wires and replaced fuses that were blown but stll jus turns over and wont start? could this be a blown diode for furl pump prime?? asking as of previous problem with another bike??
