SOURCE: Oil in Air Filter
You dont have a thing to worry about. All harleys, new and old vent oil mist thru the air cleaner, any modifications to increase performance may increase the mist thru yer air filter.... Its perfectly normal and wont casue any problems .... happy trails
SOURCE: rattling noise top end of engine
The first thing I would do is change the oil and clean the screen. I would use a lighter oil for the winter (10w40) if your bike uses it. Running some "seafoam" in the tank wouldn't hurt and making sure your gas is the proper octane
cam chain would make more of a slapping noise so it may be a sticky lifter. While I don't use SeaFoam in my "oil" the directions states that you can use for about 100 miles prior to an oil change to clean out carbon and gum inside the engine. That would be a personal call so you'll have to decide if you want to do that. I use Seafoam in the gas...just never have put it in the oil yet. Also...some use Marvel Mystery Oil and claim it helps clear up sticky lifters. If you use either product be sure to follow the directions carefully.

Lay underneath the bike on the left side, and look towards the front of the bike, there will be a tube that runs from the back left side of the motor, to the right straight into the side of the frame with a hoseclamp on the end of it. to make sure you have the right rubber line, IT IS THE ONLY LINE WITH A HOSECLAMP ON THE ENTIRE BIKE. loosen the hoseclamp, and then pull the line off the frame (There is a stud welded on the frame, and this hose slides over it, and then the hoseclamp seals it off) This is your drain tube. Make sure the motor is warmed up *(of course) BEFORE you change the oil, let it drain until it's empty. MAKE SURE YOU STAND THE BIKE STRAIGHT UP, OFF THE KICKSTAND FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS TO MAKE SURE IT ALL DRAINS OUT. Then put it back on the stud, and tighten the hose clamp. Loosen the filter on the front of the motor (it's a spin on car-type) Then replace it, make sure you put a thin film on the gasket of the NEW filter before replacing. It is normal to get oil on the front of the motor, it is unavoidable. it will hold 3 qts with filter.
