Push down firmly on the front portion of the bottom rear seat and push it backwards until the front bottom of the seat unhooks from a latch on each side, then lift the bottom seat out. The back of the rear seat has two bolts, one on each side, that connect the seat brackets to the rear firewall. Remove the two bolts and push the back of the seat straight up until it releases and it will come out. The seat tom can often be hard to move enough to get it unlatched.

Remove the seat cushion retaining bolts, detach the seat cushion and remove it up and out from the vehicle.

Remove the rear seat back retaining bolts at the bottom of the seat back. Pull up then out to disengage the upper frame from the hangers and remove seat back from the vehicle.

Installation is the reverse of removal.

I need to know how to take out the bottom of the back seat in my 1998 Buick Skylark so I can install seat covers I just ordered online. I can't figure out how to fold the backrest down either. Please help!

check under the floor mat just under the seat for 2 bolts that hold it down or it may just take a sudden lift up at the front to pull it out of the spring clips holding it down. As to the back bit , when you have the seat out check for 2 bolts under the bottom of the back . remove them and lift the back straight up to unclip from the top.

Air bag light on on a 1997 buick skylark that got floooded

find one in scrapyard and change the module and see what happens also clean the connectors under the front seats as the pins could be corroded depending on how the water was as the module should be under the centre consol so it may have been high enough to avoid the water but the connections under the seats are lower so would have got wet ,best of british with it and sypathys

In order to replace the serpentine belt on a 1994 Buick Skylark It appears that something has to be removed in order to remove the belt and replace it. What exactly has to be removed?

Nothing has to be removed. Just relieve the tension on the belt and it will come off. Find the tensioner pulley and pry it back. Look for a square hold where you insert a 1/2" ratchet. If you find none look for a way to pry it back. All you have to do is relieve the tension.

1998 buick skylark rear brake repair diagram

Compare the setup with the way they are arranged on the opposite wheel. I always recommend doing one wheel at a time with drum brakes, that way you can always walk to the other side and see how the springs are arranged.

1993 buick skylark serpentine belt removal

there is going to be a tensioner pulley near the front of the motor on top that you have to apply pressure to or you can loosen the alternator and take it off that way, just remember how it came off so you can put it back on
