Battery is brand new, connection is good at the battery. All fuses are good. Turn key on and nothing happens. We ran a wire from the postitive side screw on the fuse box to the pos lead off the battery and everything comes on and bike will start. Remove that wire and everything shuts down....bike, display, radio, ect. What is going on?

You've checked the connection from the fuse to the batterie but have you tried to bypass the keyswitch, it could be the switch doesn't connect inside or the key doesn't turn the switch inside.
Just aft of the battery is a circuit breaker, it has a tiny red button, press the button and listed for a "Click", hopefully this is your answer. check connection and wires at battery for damage or corrosion if good check for power to ignition switch if no power check for damaged or shorted wiring if good turn key and check if power going to relays or accessory's at fuse panel if no power switch may be bad
I'm not a car mechanic, but, it sounds like you might want to check the fuse to the ignition switch, and, if that fails, it might be a problem with the Start Safety Switch on the transmission. Good luck.
Hello! Identify which fuse is blowing...also, does it blow as soon as it is installed or does it blow when you turn the key? Lastly your not referring to a fusible link but a maxi-fuse...ie...40; Correct?
Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. You need to check your ignition fuse in your fuse box. If the fuse is good, make sure the terminals ends on your battery wires are not loose. Make sure they are clean. If your battery connection is good and the battery as well, try changing the starter or starter solenoid. Once you find it, try hitting it a few times to see if it will start. Since the battery connection and battery is good at this point, change the starter. Make sure all the wires to the starter are connected. When working on the starter, make sure you take the battery terminals off.
Both cables firmly connected? Good ground? Cables connected properly (+ to start solenoid, - to the frame?) Is there power at the battery? You measured the battery with a Volt/Ohm meter? What about the solenoid? Have power on the battery side?
Couple things for you to check. Currently, the website is not notifying we volunteer question catchers of comments posted to questions ... so, if none of this works, please reformulate your quesiton with the latest information and repost.
you say nothing happens sort of need more specifics, does it attenpt to rotate the engine? does the starter click? are all of the wires in the correct spots on the starter?
Is there powerat the starter?
have you checked your fuses?
can you rotete the engine by hand?
