Bike cranks over but wont start. sounds like the timing is off but it is not. 3 techs inculding me dont have a clue. acording to manual everything is right but wont start

which engine? of the many and want country. ?
some are even diesel.
there are 3 phases to this.
cranking robustly
starts
and runs. and may stall soon after. or not.
at what point does this process fail.
if it dont crank we diagnose th starter system.
it fails to start (we check spark , then fuel) if both ok we check for lost compression (cam timing belt slipped>?)
if it stalls, lots more test.. over 50 causes.
this is what a tech does, diagnose. saving lots of time guessing and buying un-needed parts.

should not be 15 volts 14v - 14.30v max 15 volts wile running is over charging the battery. and you dont want that as over time the battery over heats and can go bang. check the voltage regulator...
Bike batteries need full charge to start a bike, if there is less than full charge you can't even push start them. No click generally means no charge, the clicking sound is the solenoid working. When you just start the bike and run it at idle, even fast idle. The battery does not get sufficient charge. What you take out of it to start it, is more than what you put back in it when you run it at idle. Bikes need to be at road speed to charge efficiently. Also just sitting around they discharge, you may have an earth leak also. That causes your battery to discharge at a more accelorated rate than normal. If it has a clock in it, this bleeds off a small amount of power but still enough if it isn't being correctly charged.
Sounds like a wire or plug got disconnected while changing the headlight out, the harness that connects to the clutch safety switch, the one that lets the ignition fire when cranking only when the clutch is pulled in. A safety feature so you don't dump the bike if you crank it while in gear.
Drain and replace the gas with fresh.
Remove the air cleaner and spray carb cleaner into the inlet. Work your throttle a little then put everything back together and try to start it.
Well, first of all, YES it will start without any oil at all, but in a few minits it will be damaged badly inside the engine. The oils has nothing to do if it starts or not.
Now to that crack youve got under the bike, well its damn expenisve to buy a new casing, BUT you dont need to buy one:) the crack can be WELD:) thats something you cant do yourself. Take the bike to someone good at welding and he will fix it for you in notime:) and its cheap to do it. DO NOT drive the bike before you fill it up with new oil, dont even start it up again without any oil in it, that can be very expensive to do that if you are unlucky.
You have a 2001 ninja zx-9 your bike wont start...I dont know from here if it is ,or is not cranking. If you can get it to crank do you have spark? What did it do last time it ran ....did it die slowly or just ran and next time didnt. If you have spsrk is it blue or yellow spark...
