Looking for location of engine oil drain plug on 1996 Harley electra glide classic

The oil tank on your ElectraGlide is on the bottom of the transmission. The oil drain is usually the plug closest to the left front corner of the pan. Loosen the plug just enough to drain a bit of oil out and look at it. If it's engine oil,it should be black. If you loosen the transmission drain plug, it will be much cleaner looking oil.

You won't find an engine oil one, it has a dry sump and is located on the oil tank.
The gearbox however has one, under the engine between the gear change lever and oil pump.

On a 1992 Ultra the oil tank and drain plug are located under the right side panel in front of the right hand saddlebag.

The oil pan is on the bottom of the transmission. Look under the transmission and you'll see two drain plugs. The one closest to the front left corner is the engine oil drain. The one closest to the center is the transmission drain.

The oil tank is on the bottom of the transmission. There are two drain plugs, one for the engine oil and one for transmission lube. The engine oil drain is the one closest to the left front of the oil tank. The drain that is more in the center is the transmission drain.

No oil pan plug, it is a sump system. Just find the oil tank, drain it, change the filter.
