IF MY BIKE DIES ON EVERY ATTEMPT TO PUT IN GEAR IS MY CLUTCH BAD?

I hope you confirmed that you have enough gas in the tank. The next possibility for such a situation is either your fuel filter is clogged. And also check if your spark plug wire is firmly attached to the plug. Knowing the model of the bike helps a lot, so if you are not able to fix the issue with these, please let me know the make and model.

Buell blast won't start

You have a bad switch somewhere - either the clutch switch in the clutch lever or the kickstand switch is bad. Of course I had a blast that had a sloppy connector at the back of the key switch that did all of the above too.

I have a brand new 2010 Harley Davidson XL1200X Sportster 48. Ive had all kinds of problems with it but the latest problem I am having is with the fuel light and the way its running. The light will work...

I dont think the two are connected. First off, the fuel light. Did it start acting up when the fuel light comes on??

I have seen numerous times that the resistor for the fuel level sending unit goes bad, since its under warranty its free to you, lol.

Second, that could be a few things, or a combonation of a few. Typically when this happens i suspect a couple things.
1. Fuel pressure, did the pump go out, are there holes in the lines. usually the injectors dont go bad hardly ever.
2. Are there sensors that have gone bad, well if you turn your bike on and the check engine light goes on then off for 5 seconds then back on for the duration of your drive, then you have active codes, meaning probably a sensor.

Since its an 10' It should still be under warranty, i would take that ****** back in and make them deal with it. Otherwise with all the problems youve had, trade it in for a new one.

Sportsters are great bikes, ive had a few over the years. good luck. hope it helps a little

07 ttr 125 cranks but will not start right up when it does it will not take gas it dies and you have to turn key off and back on before it will start back it will idle for a few seconds and die again over...

I have two ttr 125's and my son has another, all 05's but i ran into this with a friends 02 as well. All ttr 125's are cold blooded bikes to say the least. the cold starting procedure that works is to first lean the bike over to the left till it dribbles a little gas on the floor. hit the electric start for a few seconds only, wait 20 to 30 seconds and do it again. holding the starter button down and cranking will do nothing but flood the bike out. short busts only, dont give it any gas ever, this will also do nothing. first it will start for a brief moment then die, hit the button for about 3 to 4 revelutions and wait, the next time it will start again, most likely only for a few seconds again, repeat this and each time it will run a little longer till it keeps running on it own. the best way to get your ttr to start easier is to cut the top of the airbox off, this will give the bike more power (youll see why when you look at the tiny opening) and allow you to spray starting fluid under the back of the seat right into the airbox. it makes starting a cold bike 5 times faster. usually only 2 repeats of the starting procedure.

Need help bike died while riding

everything working perfect. Wednesday night i was riding home from work and got about halfway home bike had a small bog while coming up for a turn onto another street pulled in the clutch and stall. Rolled to a stop and fired the magic button. The motor would turn over and act like it wanted to run (had to give a small amount of throttle) for about 2-3 seconds and then would die. Did this about 5 times and the typical dead or low batter clicking occured. Got the bike home and it has been on the tender for the last 2 days and i just put some time in on the bike and sure enough bike will turn over although kida sputtering and making slight backfire sounds (almost as if timing is off) and will run for about 2-3 seconds and dies. I can do this about 4-5 times and the infamous clicking starts to happen again. Now my bike has never been a cold start bike, i always have to give it a bit of throttle when its cold to keep it running, but once it warms up runs like a champ...or atleast it used to. Its a fairly new battery and has been kept on the tender when the bike is not used for a few days. Now the other thing that bothers me is it seems that oil may be seeping out from where the head and the case meet, but very little. The motor does have a slight coating of oil around the gasket area. I did send the motor to ATK back in late 04 or 05 and had the reliability and upgrade done to it but have only about 500 total miles on it since then, with about 400 of those in the last coulple of months. ,Even with a good bike battery 4-5 tries is about all they have.So forget about the battery and go with basics fuel, compression and spark. Also sounds like you need some mapping help, you should never have to touch the throttle when starting. The will run perfect if they are tuned. Do you know what map is in it? Did ATK also change the ECU to a .atj map?,,,
