Hi, Castle Hill Motorcycles seems to be the main bike shop in your area, lot of dealers go overboard on repair work, grab your local phone book and even your local accessories store usually will know someone who repairs bikes in your area without charging and arm and a leg, shop around, what is the problem with the bike, maybe you can fix it yourself!!!
Just found your original question, being a older bike you will find some of the new shops will try to brush you off, you may be able to get a older car mechanic to give you a hand, ask your neighbours and mates, you will be surprised at who knows who, it is important that there are no loose screws around the points, not even a little.
Thank you for that very informative bit of help . I shall have to now look in that new direction to get the physical assistance needed to fix the problem. All it really needs is to have the timing screw plate secured and retimed correctly ...I think......!!!
