I have a desktop HP connected to internet Broadband service via a "2wire" router thru my Windstream phone account. I have a Dell laptop that I'm able to use with the wireless connection throughout the house. Now I have new Panasonic 54" G25 Viera TV in another room, that I want to wireless connect to that desktop/router service with a Wireless adapter, so I can access things like NETFLIX movies. I bought a NETGEAR WNDA3100v2 Wireless-N Dual Band adapter. Installed software on the desktop, took adapter to the Panasonic, inserted, and did network setup for wireless, configured the connection. The Connection test and signal test seemed successful. Then I used TV remote and chose Menu to select PC. thinking I would see the PC screen, but nothing happens, It only shows "no signal"! I suspect that I did something wrong with the Netgear install on the desktop. The install wizard showed my one wireless network choise, but I was confused by the choices that I had to make for the rest of the setup. When I thought all was successfully install, the Netgear wizard didn't seem to show that there was a connection as in the example. Maybe I just don't understand that part of the process. I've uninstalled the sofwatre twice and reinstalled, but still the same. Help.

You wont see the pc screen on the tv if that is what your expecting, if the tv is capable of receiving netflix then it will pick that up seperately from the pc, it will only need a wireless connection to access the broadband, you will also need a valid subscription to the netflix service. The fact you have proved you have a valid wireless connection means its connected. There will be an options button to select the internet content to view on viera cast

quote from panasonic ---

VIERA Cast's assorted online content just keeps getting better - in addition to the popular contents such as YouTube and Picasa Web Albums, it now offers Pandora Internet Radio, movies streamed from Netflix*, exciting sports from FOX Sports, tweeting web communications with Twitter, and even home video and audio conferencing with Skype. It also provides USB terminals for a keyboard and Wireless LAN Adaptor. No PC required. Skype function requires an optional communication camera TY-CC10.
Skype service will be available late June 2010.
*Netflix unlimited membership required. Service on Viera Cast TV will be available summer 2010.
*Keyboard and Wireless LAN Adaptor are not included.

Facebook won't connect on computer but does on my phone tried all the computer suggestions ..still cannot connect

Hi
Since your phone connects to Facebook, you have valid Facebook account.
So - does the computer access the internet OK, If so then it would appear to be a username/password, firewall or anti-vrus software issue.
Does your phone connect to Facebook over a WiFi internet connection - eg from your BT HomeHub or other router, or via mobile Broadband (3g - 4g). If its via a WiFi connection/router then you need to check that the phone adn computer Wifi settings are the same.

Trying to connect to wireless internet on my mini dell inspiron

SETTING UP A BROADBAND CONNECTION
First you need to decide what type of broadband andInternet service you require and these are -
1. DSL that uses your existing telephone line.
2. Cable that uses a cable service and can include a cable TV service.
3. A wireless 3G network which uses the mobile/cell phone network and can beseparate or combine with your cell phone account
Note - Combined services generally offer discount pricing and may include amodem/wireless router.

If you use a wireless router with the DSL or Cable Internet service and yourlaptop has a wireless card then you can also connect to the Internet at WiFihot spots like McDonalds, Star Bucks, the Airport etc.
If you use the wireless 3G wireless broadband service, then you can access theInternet anywhere where your ISP has 3G wireless coverage. You need to checkthe service coverage area where you need Internet service.
Once you decide what type of broadband your require, then you need to checkwith the various Internet Service providers to see if they can offer and thecost of the various plans.
Note the download limits and the associated additional costs if you exceed themonthly download limits. Once you sign up with a Internet Service provider, their documentation will include setting up instructions and/or installationCD.

To connect to the Internet, certain hardware and services are needed, which are listed below. Without any one of these items, connection to the Internet is not possible.
  • Broadband Internet Service (also known as Internet Service Providers or ISP) - Telephone companies (also known as DSL, which uses a telephone line) and cable TV companies usually offer Internet service.

  • Broadband Modem - Normally, a broadband modem can be rented or purchased from the ISP.

  • Computer with a Network Adapter - This is usually a device located inside the computer.

  • Broadband Router - A router is used to connect all of your computers to the network (but is not needed for a single computer). The router also provides a way to connect to the Internet through the Broadband Modem.

Connect two computers to internet thru AT&T DSL

You can install a either a 4 jack wireless router( cost about $25). This will allow you to either cable 4 PC's or connect your PC's via the wireless feature. The instructions that come with the wireless router will give you installation instructions (it's fairlly easy). Make sure you secure your network with at least WEP security.

Can't get my netgear PCI Adapter connected to my 2wire 1800hw broadband

You will need to modify the router configuration rather than the adapter to setup port forwarding. Normally Network Address Translation (NAT) will allow most of your services to connect without issue.
