Question about 2004 Honda CBR 600 RR

1 Answer

My cbr600rr 2004 just running less than 4 k, and the this bike was rarely use by the first owner. i found the bike not run smoothly and i have all the injectors cleaned and so is the tank. The bike runs very well and smooth, but after running for about 30 km and running at 9 to 10 rpm i feel the engine was not as smooth as before and the engine suddenly loose it's power and finally off. The temperature running at 102-104 and after Couple of minutes i start the engine and it's sound normal again, then i thought it was just the remaining deposit just passed by the injector, but it wasn't and the problem was repeating again after 5-6 km run. Again after Couple of minutes i take the same steps, switch on the engine stop and switch off the ignition, and start the ignition key, switch off the engine stop, and start the engine, and again it sound normal. The following day, i start the engine and woooommm sound normal and i ride my bike for Couple of km and no problem at all. So i guess the injector are fine and i suspect the spark plug are the problem. Please need your advise from the expert .:) Regards

Id start at replace spark plugs.. too this bike may have sensors that tell an ECM info one of these may be out of spec after a set time or temp .. id get a manual & check the locations of them. In manual the often have a trouble shooting guide..

Thanks for the advise, and if spark plug is the problem can this bike running well on 9-10 k rpm? Especially after the engine stalled and stop for Couple of minutes.

I am not Sure if the injector problem is still remain instead of spark plugs

Spark plug chainging is cheep that takes them out of the picture. the injectors if you remove them check & clean them well.. if you have 2 or more use a vom set to ohms setting see if they are the same ohms wise.. also try to find what the ohms are saposta be.. on a good one..
