Hi, you do need the use of some special tools, to change a conrod-big end kit, presuming you have the engine striped and the crankshaft removed, i would take it along to a recomended garage to carry out this service, paul

How do i change kickstarter spring on 2000 kx 250 motorcycle

Just remove the right side cover to expose the kick start mechanism. Remove the bolt on the end of the shaft, tow washers and guide then the spring. It has been awhile since I worked on the KX 250, but as I recall, the clutch does not need to be removed in the process of replacing the spring. I could be wrong on that. Below is the kick mechanism on your bike. Please rate my answer. Thanks. tombones49_146.gif

I have a kx 250 2004 and i can ride it for about 10 min and the engine seizes up on me what could be the problem?

im presuming its a two stroke it sounds like the two stroke oil pump-which is starving the engine of oil-change the pump before u destroy the engine-this is not a maybee, your engine will need a total rebuild if u carry on riding with this problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2005 kx 250 clutch problem... stalls when putting into gear

Two stroke motors with wet clutches are notorious for sticking when left for a period. Older oiler will leave a slight residue on ends of friction plates. If it is a regular thing after every stop, you will need to rinse clutch with a solvent. You don't need to dismantle if you are patient and carefull when applying solvent as it may discolour alloy cases and paintwork. Use a premium grade MOTORCYCLE GEAR OIL only and your problem will be solved if your clutch is A1 mechanically.

OK my 125 cc dirt bike the gas tank was leaking so I toke out the ring and then I ordered another one and the bike was standing for about 2 to 4 weeks in the cold then I changed the ring and I relized the...

Hi
Both seized.
For the gas tap, spray CRC lube on it, leave for an hour then gently use grips to move it.
For the clutch, need to know if its the cable or interanl clutch. Disconnect cable from engine and try, if OK its internal. If its clutch cable remove from bike and try to spray / fill cable and leave elevated for and hour / day. Then start see sawing cable to free up.
