Bmw r80gs front console were the spedo and refcounter was is broken the faring and light is broken and the plate under the mudgaurd is bend in the front wheel pleace help i sit in namibia

The secret is hidden at the back cover of the number plate light - Remove the cover of the number plate lights, put 12V on wires and it should open. We have to disassemble the cover of the number plate, take out the lamp, connect to an external battery, click the Open button on the key fob and we get the miracle right in front of our eyes! It's confirmed.

Sounds like warped flywheel or broken or bent pressure plate spring.
Don't downshift your car at high rev's because it tends to bend the pressure plate springs.

I didn't see the cig lighter mentioned in my online resource, but with my experience on GM vehicles, the under dash driver's side fuse box usually has a cig lighter fuse listed. If not, then you'll have to get a fuse tester and test each and every fuse until you find the burnt out one.

If the fuse is not burnt out, there may be a broken wire behind the console.

Console Removal & Installation Chevrolet Lumina & Monte Carlo To Remove:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable after first disabling the Theftlock® feature of the radio, if equipped.
2. Remove the front floor console trim plate using the following procedure:
   • Remove the cigarette lighter.
   • Remove the transaxle shift handle.
   • Remove the front floor console trim plate by unsnapping from the console.
   • Detach the automatic transaxle control indicator socket and bulb from the trim plate and detach the electrical connector from the trim plate.

3. Remove the CD storage bin at the front of the console by unsnapping it.
4. Raise the console armrest and remove the compartment mat. Remove the screws from console.
5. Detach the electrical connectors and remove the front floor console from the vehicle.

To Install:

1. Connect the electrical connectors and position the console on the floor.
2. Install the screws and the compartment mat. Start with the front right console retaining screws and continue in a clockwise order.
   • Tighten the screws to 106 inch lbs. (12 Nm).
3. Install the CD storage bin.
4. Install the console trim plate.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.

You could try making a bracket, and mounting it on the top of the front mudgaurd, just below, but infront,, of the headlight.

If it is totally dead and your light on your power brick red, thats your problem.Or if the light on your power brick is orange, but no lights on your console, check your usb ports on the front of the console, make sure that there is nothing touchinginside,if there is this will short your box so it won't turn on, so bend them back.
Or if your controllers won't sync either, make sure your hdmi cable is firmly pushed into your console and tv.

Yes it sounds like the drain pipe from the vent infront of the w/screen was blocked up as usual and it comes out down either side under the front mudgaurds as its the place were the wiper motor is fitted and the place that ****** the air from out side for your heater .so when its bunged up then yes it will overflow into the car through the heater vents,,so keep them clean with a 10lbs of air from a compressor.
DO about just after summer each year.. RON
and blow from the pipe under the mudgaurd up as it will only take you 10 minutes that way,just find the drain pipe ..

remove 8mm screws at r and l side splash sheils, remove t 50 torx bolts under bumper cover on either sdie of where the front lic plate cover goes, pull away from body of vehcile and disconnect the fog lights if equipped
