Keys of honda activa lost can i get new or duplicate keys from honda activa dealers or i have to change the locks

Honda avtiva scooter purchased on 10.8.2007 against bill no.1469 for rs.37820 invoice no. 07IN02280 KEY no.8510 by my office colleaque mr mukesh kumar. The keys of the said scooter have been misplaced.HOW HE CAN GET THE DUPLICATE KEYS AND ON WHICH COST.Please inform urgently on my email or contact to mr mukesh on his mobile no 9463962353 as soon as possible.

Honda usually has the key code stamped into the base of the ignition switch on older models. If the code is on the locks , it can be taken off of any of the locks. A poorly cut key will work in every lock but the ignition switch. Newer models have a small tag with the code on it but no stamping on the ignition switch. If your keys came with a little tag with the key code stamped on it, you will need the number off that tag to get a key cut. Many locksmiths have the ability to duplicate a key or cut a key from scratch. Most Honda dealers also have the ability. All you need is the key code. A good salesman will write the key code on your owners manual or on your purchase agreement. Some dealerships keep a record of the key code on folder of there paper work or on the papers inside, try contacting the dealership. Otherwise take off the ignition switch and take it into a locksmith or a dealership and they will tell you if the code is there.
