My Repair Manual says that the drive chain on my 2001 Suzuki GSF 600 S Bandit is supposed to have 25 to 35 mm of freeplay. I was able to get the drive chain to that specification, but I am unable to match the notches on each of the swingarms. The chain adjuster bolt on the right-hand side does not move the adjuster on the swingarm at all. Any advice?

SOURCE: swingarm off

hiya ,
no major probs to be encountered here the only part which can be a slight pain ,(you might want to get somebody to give you a hand when you put it back in , lineing up the rubber spacers and holding it all in place can be a tad awqward, but with a second helping hand and bit of silocone spray it should slide back in without any major probs .
hope this helps
any other questions just ask
kind regards

Christmas comes early. Go to the site below and you can download a free PDF service manual. Yours is the 1st one in the "Suzuki GSF" section of the list. 4 or 5 below that is a PDF parts diagram with part numbers.

http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp Most manuals are in English but some are not. There is no way to be sure without doing the download. You can always delete it if in a foreign language.

SOURCE: how do i adjust the drive chain on my suzuki

set the bike on the centre stand, loosen the rear axle nut,on either side of the swingarm at the rear there will be a small adjuster nut(normally with a lock nut on it)undo the locknut, then turn each ajuster 1/4 turn at a time untill the chain has about 1 1/2 inches freeplay up and down, make sure when you do this that the axle alignment marks are exactly the same on both sides of the swingarm, once you have the chain adjusted to the right tension, tighten the rear axle bolt and replace the splitpin(if fitted),then tighten the locknuts on the chain adjusters, thats it,hope this helps
