You may expect no lower than 10 hours because you have to remove motor and dissasembled and you may expect to reshim a valve or two that is too tight at the same time.....we rebuilt a kx 250f 2008 last week and rebuilt the crankshaft and change valve guide and reangle valve seat for 12 hours r&r.....

Who type of engine oil and how much should you use for a 1978 suzuki ts 250?

Your transmission uses less than a quart of oil. The exact amount of oil is stamped by the fill hole on the engine case or side cover, probably about 800cc or 900cc. If you choose automobile oil, do not use an oil with a rating greater than SE, SF, or SG. You could also use motorcycle gear oil like Belray 70 wt, 75wt, or 80wt. Or you canuse any oil that has the JASO MA Japanese engine motorcycle rating for engines that have wet clutches and transmission gears running in them. Do not use any oil that says "Energy Conserving" on the label.

Will a 2004 suzuki rm 250 front brake line fit on a 2003 suzuki rm 250

The '03 and '04 K1, K2, and K3 models use the SKU# 59480-36E30. The '03 and '04 K4, K5, and K6 models use the SKU# 59480-37F00. Personally, I would take the old hose to a dealer and match it up to a new one. The difference in SKU numbers could be simply the supplier or the finish on the metal fittings. If you want to see what K number your bike is, go to the following site and input the VIN number. NOT THE ENGINE NUMBER.

I have a 2003 rm 250 2 stroke that died on me and now locked up.

sounds to me like shes nipped up in the bore possibly to a broken ring or lack of oil or coolant unfortunately the damage is done you will have to remove the cylinder head & barrell to determine how much check the oil pump for blockage & function was there adequate oil in the tank alsowas the coolant resevior full at the least it will need a set of rings & the cylinder honed at worst big end bearings if the bottom ends locked up this involves splitting the cases so for your sake I hope my initial diagnoses is corrrect

How do i check the transmission oil levl in my 2003 RM 250

The engine and the trans do NOT use the same oil. The engine oil is premixed with the fuel. The transmission oil is filled with the filler plug on the right side of the engine case. Look under the kick stand, see the 850 ml marking? The trans holds that much oil. Either drain the oil and add that exact amount.... OR you can take out the check screw located lower and forward of the oil fill on the case, should look just like a case bolt, but with an aluminum washer to seal it. Once you remove this bolt/plug you can add oil till the oil flow out this hole.

Transmission Fluid Specs

Castrol Syntec motorcycle 10-40wt is what i woul recommend and you have a dipstick. So if you have drained the old fluid start by pouring in 1 qt. then check the dipstick w/ bike level on level ground. Then add a little oil at a time until full..If you have a sightglass instead of a dipstick then fill half to 3/4 up the sightglass. Buy 2qts while your at the store...good Luck to you friend...Tim
