When the battery went dead, it activated the anti theft system. That is why you can't get the key out of the ignition. If you do get it out, you still won't be able to start the car. Call the dealership and ask them what your options are, in the meantime, go to this website and read about the security sydtem: http://newtockies.ca/vatsbypass.

What does AFS of mean???? This is a indicator light on the dash.

Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) is used when for example if it was day time and you entered a dark parking garage the lights would detect and adapt to the lighting environment which will then automatically trigger the Bi-xenon headlights to turn on themselves in order to illuminate the road ahead when the vehicle anticipates it is necessary. It is an automatic feature which turns on by itself for your convenience therefore you wont have to induce any actions, the car does it all for you. And most Importantly (I quote) "the Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) automatically controls the headlight lighting pattern according to steering angle and vehicle speed to help provide better visibility at night."
