There is a gel inside the batteries that may be frozen or too thick from the cold to allow the power to flow properly. Bring the scooter inside and allow it to gradually warm up to see if that will allow the current to flow from the batteries. Do not attach the charger until the batteries have thawed a bit as this may cause damage to the cells. If the controller warms up too fast, condensation may build up inside it which can damage the electronics. Slow and steady wins the race.
Good luck!

Scooter battery meter dips

After 10 to 12 hour charge, unplug the charger, make sure the freewheel lever is in drive mode, you will know if it is because you have a hard time trying to push the scooter. Turn it on and try to drive if the meter goes to above the middle on the meter, it should ok, but, if the needle goes to red right away time for new batteries. Will need more info to go any farther. or you could go to www.strege.com/BlueDoc it is an app to help trouble shoot scooter problems.

Scooter won't move

Things to check: Drive/Free wheeling switch, brake release lever (this activates an internal micro-switch that enable power to the drive system, battery box connectors (condition of contacts - corroded, missing, loose. etc.); main control cable (corrosion. lose or missing pins, etc). If all these are OK, could be controller or drive control potentiometers (speed, forward, backward) on the handle-bar (tiller).
Good luck!

Gogo elitescooter lights indicate battery fully charged but scooter will not go

Make sure the free-wheel lever is engaged and the charger is unplugged from the scooter before you try to turn the scooter on. If the battery gauge goes up when you turn the scooter on and there are no beeping sounds you should be good to go.If the battery gauge drops to the red when you try to accelerate slowly, your batteries are shot. (Typical replacement in 24-48 months). If there is any beeping when the key is first turned on then there is a problem and the number of beeps indicates the problem found by the computer during the POST. The ammeter says its fully charged, but when driving the scooter the gauge goes into the red...is it the gauge, the ammeter, the batteries, or the charger?

I suspect this will be the batteries. The fact that the ammeter is working suggests the charger is charging the batteries. Just to be certain, the ammeter should start at a higher figure (i.e. 4 - 5 amps) the more discharged the batteries are, and should read zero when the batteries are fully charged. If this is the case, I think the charger and the ammeter are ok. The battery guage should also be ok as these do not usually move at all if they are broken. Batteries can take a, and even hold a charge for a certain period of time if they are weak, but under load, they cannot produce the desired amount of power. It sounds to me like this is your problem, but before you buy new batteries, have them checked properly as other things may be to blame, like a brake problem or even a motor or transaxle problem.
