How to reset AIRBAG SRS Light on 2003 - 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe

Hi, on most vehicles, the airbag light should come on for at 6 seconds, and then go off if the system is working properly. If there is a fault or a problem in the system, the light will remain illuminated, or flash continuously. If the airbag light does not work properly, some vehicles have an audible tone that sounds indicating a problem with the airbag light system. When the light is on (or the tone is sounding), the airbag will NOT deploy, even in an accident.

How to reset AIRBAG SRS Light on 2003 - 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe
Ignition Key Method:

Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car).
After the AIR BAG warning lamp lights for 7 seconds, turn IGNITION off within 1 second.
Wait 4 seconds.
Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car).
After the AIR BAG warning lamp lights for 7 seconds, turn IGNITION off within 1 second.
Wait 4 seconds.
Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car).
After the AIR BAG warning lamp lights for 7 seconds, turn IGNITION off within 1 second.
Wait 4 seconds.
Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car).
Wait 3 seconds.
Turn IGNITION off.
Wait 2 seconds.
START Car (the light may be blinking slower than before).
Wait 3 seconds.
Turn IGNITION off.
Wait 3 seconds.
START Car.

This is a little easier To reset the light simply turn the iginition to the on position, (you dont need to start it). All the lights should stay on for thier diagnostic check. As soon as the airbag light goes off, before it starts flashing, immeditatly turn the car off. Repeat this 3 or 4 times (turning to on then off) and the light should go away

Your vehicle will require a scan tool for the proper diagnosis (and not the one at Auto Zone---it needs to be airbag system specific, like a good body shop or the dealer). There are fairly easy procedures that most people are capable of repairing.

2003 nissan altima airbag blinking. Engine is running rough. Plus check engine soon light is illiminated.

Most systems can only be diagnosed using a scanner designed for the airbag system, however some use flash codes to indicate the problem. The scanners at Auto Zone or the ones that sell for @ $50 will not access the airbag system, only the engine systems (check engine light).
