SOURCE: i have a 2005 r6...just put in a new battery..bike wont start

maybe, now this is just a guess! but your starter shaft is just spinning and not engaging properly..check starter or solenoid to starter wire connections are that they are on solid, and no corrosion, measure bat volt!!!... should read 12.4v "minimum"! if not battery is either going bad or might need a charge...correct voltage reading should be 12.7v to 13volt.

SOURCE: 2008 yamaha r6 wont start i put in a new ignition now my fuel pump wont ingage and my neutral light wont come on for some reason my bike will not start or turn over what is wrong and how do i fix

Good Morning,. I found this for you.. worth a shot:

  • verify that the main fuse is not blown. It would be inside the starter relay. To locate the starter relay, follow the cable from the battery's + terminal;
  • if the battery and the main fuse checks good, then check the voltage on the red wire from the starter relay to the ignition switch;
  • do the same and check for the presence of +12 to the brown wire from the ignition switch to the CDI.
  • Best regards

Yamaha r6 2005 wont start.

Could do with more information maria6666.

Do the ignition lights come on when you turn the key? Battery connected/Charged
Has your red kill switch on the handlebar been knocked off?
Does the starter motor turn when you press the starter button? Battery connection/charge
Does the fuel pump relay click/or fuel pump make a whirring noise when the ignition is switched on? Battery connection prob/poor earth/fault on fuel pump relay
If when the starter button is pressed the it just clicks - battery needs charging.
Has it got enough fuel in it?
Is the fuel tap turned on?

I could go on but it would be easier if you could describe what happens when you try to start it.

Basically, it needs petrol to burn and electric to make the engine turn whilst making a spark to burn the petrol.

Have you any friends that could help you? Are you in a group of bikers/friends who you could ask?

2001 e46 325i.misfire on start with lots of smoke for afew seconds and cut off.wont start anymore.what could be the problem?

  1. Check you tachometer while you are cranking the engine and if the tachomoter doesn't move a little bit it could be a faulty crank shaft sensor
  2. Checked Fuel pressure or Ignition ON/Off and listen to fuel pump motor noise, it will operates for approx. 5 sec. when turn On ignition switch and pump will off by it self. if you did not hear any noise from fuel tank, try to swap fuel pump relay. Good luck

Car wont start maybe a bad fuel injector

Try cleaning the fuel filter. listen for a whirring noise from the fuel pump when you turn the key.

R6 Stalled wont start anymore

don't drain furl man. from what i've read so far it sounds like you got a little mess. few things you should do to get you going in the right direction... clean the bottom of your motor and find where oil might be coming from. 2nd, i'm assuming your battery is dead again because you tried to continuously start the bike with no results right? if im wrong then you've got a charging system issue which isn't easy to diagnose over interweb. another clue to the problem would be to see what the ticking is, the main relay? could be bad also.
