Fuse keeps blowing

My washing machine' s fuse blew halfway through a cycle. The new fuse now blows each time the plug is plugged in. Machine fault or electrical fault?

This is probably a water heater problem  Try operating on the lowest temp  eg.15C If it goes through the cycle then its more than likely your water heater  You will need a refit

My washing machine keeps shutting down and blowing a fuse.

You must have a short circuit ,try disconnecting things start with the heater element, disconnect one wire see if it still blows...next try motor plug, until the fault clears at least this tells you what the problem part is.....

There is a micro switch next to the fuse. It is shorted out. Replace the micro switch and solve your problem.

Washer was in fill cycle and stopped

You've got a short circuit somewhere in that electrical circuit.

First, unplug the washing machine.
Replace the fuse. If it doesn't blow immediately, then there is likely a short in the washing machine, and from what you describe, it's in the motor.
If it blows, then there is something wrong in that circuit, and you can likely rule out the washing machine. Check all devices on that particular circuit, of which there can be a number of plugs.

Washing machine fuse blows every couple of washes

the machine is pulling to much power.check to see if it is on a 15 or 20 amp outlet. you said you replaced the fuse. the amp size should be on it. if it is a 15 amp fuse, plug the machine into a 20 amp circuit and see if the fuse blows then. it shouldn't since it wasn't blowing everytime on the 15 amp circuit, but never put a 20 amp fuse in a 15 amp socket! the fuse can handle the load[ no pun intended], but the electrical wire would burn not blowing the fuse, thus causing a fire.
hope this helps.

The fuse in the plug keeps blowing. Initially it would run for a while - sometimes 3 or 4 cycles - before blowing. It now blows the fuse the second that I plug in to the socket, even with the on/off button...

Lower the outlet hose into a washing up bowl, it should then Drain. Check the heater to see if it is earthing you get to it by removing the right hand side panel.

Fuse keeps blowing out in my maytag washing machine

the power surge probably shorted out something in the main wire harness or fried your motor. remove the screws from the control panel and look for any wires that are discolored, charred or disconnected. in the event you do't find it there trace the wiring thru the cabinet looking for the same thing. if you don't find that, replace the motor

Hotpoint WD51 fuse issue

is it the motor that got hot?, if so then check the motor carbons for wear, as these heat up when worn, also if the carbons are fine check the pump and filters for blockages, this makes the motor spin while water is still in the machine causing the motor to overheat, and subsequently tripping and blowing the fuses etc hope i have helped a little

assuming you had correct value fuse, fuse blowing may have been caused by a machine fault.after power outage, cycle should resume.
