2006 Suzuki GSXR 1000 torque specs @
According to the user's manual, press SELECT until you see the odometer screen then hold down both SELECT and ADJUST for at least 3 seconds or more. That should change it. Now, their is another problem that you may not be aware of, and that is if that bike is a Canadian one, it may not change. it is my understanding that the US models and EUROPEAN ones are the only ones that can change. Try this, and if it does not change, you are out of luck.

The motorcycle will mark 186MPH at about 10,000RPM. That's your factories "max speed". Your RPM's however, will continue to raise to 13,000RPM gaining more speed. In order for you to know what's the exact top speed you would have to GPS it.

Rock the caps around to make sure the bearing locating clips are lined up. Torque the bearing caps to 12 foot-pounds. At this point you must check the valve clearances again. If any are off, the cam must be removed and the correct shims installed.

Use only premium gas . Don't burn any gas that has Ethanol, it is very corrosive. The brand of gas doesn't really matter, only the price does.
