i would have you take it some where because doing your oil change on your car is not easy there are some things that have to be romoved and the filter is not too easy to get too but if you want i can tell you step by step
Hello. What that means is that only 16% of your car's oil life remains before you should get an oil change. This is a better method of knowing when to change the oil than the old fashioned rule of thumb of merely changing the oil every 3,000 miles.
When you do have the oil changes, the counter can be reset back to 100%. If you have your oil changed at a garage, they will reset the counter for you. otherwise look in the owner manual for the instructions on how to reset the counter. regards, Joe
ps = kindly rate my answer as helpful. thanks.
Clean or replace the oil filter screen shown below. Use 10w40 motor oil. NEVER use synthetics or oils with "Special" additives. Technically, the oil quantity is .95 US quarts. Just put in the whole quart can and you will be fine. Please rate my answer. Thanks
The weight of oil should be on the oil cap, I believe it should be 5/30w. Whichever weight you decide to use, please, please, only use 100% synthetic. It is just so much better for these cars and you can extend your oil change intervals so it is not that much more in the long run.
Please google: "toyota sludge" to see why I say this.
Hi, It is best to always change the filter every time you change the oil. By changing the filter, you remove the impurities that the filter has collected. Hope this helps
Drain engine oil and replace oil filter(your local automotive store will have a book telling you what oil filter you need to buy). You've probably been using a multi-grade 10-30 or 10-40 weight oil. Or a straight 30 weight oil. Regardless, replace that oil with one grade heavier, single-weight of oil. During warm months, use 40 weight; in the winter (depending on how far the mercury dips in your part of the country) use 20 or 30 weight. Slightly thicker oil won't hurt that worn engine, and if your battery is good, it'll turn over fast.
