I bought a 1986 Cavalcade 1400 & the radio only turns on to 1 am station . I mean that's it, cant change ANYTHING,volume, station,tape/radio,am/fm,absolutely nothing. I know threw the dealer that the radio is discontinued & even if it weren't I could not afford it anyway at 2400 dollars. but is there a place to fix it or a harness for a different stereo? Thank you so much for any help.

Ihave asuzuki calvacade should the rasdio tune manually

There is a known fault with these radio's, one othe buttons is faulty and stuck on all th etime rendering the unit stuck on the last radio station or on the tapedeck. You can replace the buttons yourself or send the unit away to have it done. Parts are available from http://secure.billydump.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=12 and instructions for replacing them are on a link on the same page. Cruise control wont work 1986 cavalcade 1400

Has the clutch safety switch been bypassed? - Does the bike start without the clutch pulled in? if so replace the clutch safety switch, most common cause of the Cruise not working, Remember that you must be in 5th gear, clutch & break levers out, foot off the break pedal, throttle twist grip not below idle - into the spring loaded portion below idle (There is a switch in there to turn the cruise to standby), The cruise switch on the right switch block is on. Any more than this, refer to www.suzukicavalcade.com and join the email group.
