Sounds like the problem is your battery is not charging when you are riding. The most common cause is a faulty regulator / rectifier. Contact a motorcycle wreckers for these parts, or your yamaha dealer.
Easy way to test is, when your bike is running, and the lights start to dim, before the bike shuts down, using a volt meter, test the voltage at the battery terminals, should be about 14V. If faulty rectifier,no charge going in to your battery, then the reading will be low, about only a few volts. If you dont have a volt meter, then any mechanic shop can do this test for you. best to have this done before buying any parts.

Cranks but will not start

You need to check your charging system, if your stator is bad your battery will not charge. As far as it shutting down while riding that sound like you have an intermittent ground, so check all wire connections.

Hey Lonnie, just because its new, doesn't necessarily mean its a "good" battery...Have the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) of the battery checked...that is the ONLY means test to determine if a battery will crank and run your machine...take it to a battery shop.. Sounds like an alternator or charging problem.
Check to see if you are getting around 14v on your battery with the engine running.
If not you will have to investigate your alternator etc.

Sounds like the oil is thick. Do you know what weight oil was installed last? If there was 40 weight put in and its getting colder out it get thicker. You can change the oil to a 30 weight and change the filter to see if that helps.

I have a brand the new battery and it keeps dying.

put a volt meter on the battery while the bike is running. volts should
increase as you rev the engine up. maybe 13 - 15 volts. if it stays the
same and doesn't change, it a charging system problem. also check the
battery connections are good, especially the ground.

New battery on new bike,it kills the batterys in 2 days

Either you have a dead short in your wireing or your battery is not charging fully. Use a volt meter your battery will have 12 volts start the bike and it should read 13 plus then take it up to 2000 rpm above idle anyway it should read 14 plus. If you dont have these numbers then you have a stator or regulator problem or both. You may be geting a slight charge when running but not enough to keep the battery peaked out.

I have an RZT50 Cub Cadet Mower that only starts with jump

it sounds like the starter motor is pulling to many amps for the battery to cope with. if its a 12v system it should not pull the battery down to less than 8.5 volts on cranking if it does the starter-motor is defective you can check this with a volt meeter across the battery terminals and see what it read as you crank the engine. hope this helps

It seems that your bike's battery is not getting charged while running, but if your Headlights are working then the Dynamo is OK but the rectifier/battery charging has conked out. It might be just a blown fuse or it could be in the rectifier coil/circuit. It would be best if you could get it checked from their authorized service center and get the part replaced since you said that the bike is brand new & even the distributor from whom you bought it should take responsibility for a faulty piece of equipment.................sodeep
