The XR50 is a 4 cycle engine. as are all XR series.
MA typeoil (10-30W with no friction modifiers or it will make the clutch slip) an oil designed for bikes, in the sump and straight fuel in the tank

I have a B&S weed trimmer Model 21032. I wish to put in some gas stabilizer but I don't know the fuel tank capacity. Any idea?

The easiest way is to mix it in your gas can as you buy gas at the service station.
If it's a 2cycle, most of the oil mix I buy says on it that stabilizer is included in the oil mix. Fuel stabilizer does not take the place of your 2cycle oil mix. I haven't ever had problems with my 2cycle gas going bad even when left for awhile.
If it's a 4cycle you can mix the stabilizer in when you buy gas.
For now, guess at the fuel tank size ( a quart ? ) and work out the ratio to add to the trimmer tank. A teaspoon maybe. A little too much won't kill anything.

A friend is selling a 2003 XR50 but it won't start. He thinks someone mixed 2 stroke oil with the gas. it has been sitting for a few years

It will need more work than just kicking. If the price is way under book and you feel like learning about the bike, buy it. Be sure this is a "friend".

I was given a 2000 yamaha DT 125 and i was told needs regular fuel and 2t oil but i dont know the combination or how much mix to the gasoline please help

Are you sure this is a DT 125 as with this particular bike it is self mixing there should be a separate tank by the handle bars just under the front plastics opposite the water tank this is where you fill it with oil then just put gas in the gas tank and it will mix it self you do not have to do anything else do not put oil in the gas tank with the gas mixing would usally be dirt bikes or really old bikes only

Gas ratio for a weedeater XR50

the listed 40:1 ratio works fine but 50:1 has been my usual mix. Important - use non ethanol gas E0 or gas that has chem ethanol modifier. (Pilot brand Gas works) When finished try to run it out so the carb is empty. Even a dead start with quick start to clear all fuel. Easy mixing is to measure a 41 oz marked bottle. Add 1 oz of best two cycle oil then fill to mark.liljack

I need to know if I need to mix the gas for my Yamaha 2002 Banshee 350 Twin or if I can just put in straight gas

Normally these days on 2 stroke engines you put fuel into the tank directly and then you should also have a reservoir for your oil mix on the LH side cover. The system will mix the required fuel to oil mix themselves. Good enough?

I inherited a Sears 647G chainsaw, but no manual. It has separate tanks for the oil and gas. Do I put a mixture of oil and gas in the gas tank? The oil tank I think is just to oil the chain. Or does it mix...

I'm sure the separate oil tank is for the chain... you'll need to mix the gas with 2 cycle oil... typical ratio is 40:1 to 50:1...
Manuals are going to be real scarce... you may want to check with a local small engine repair shop to see if you can copy something they may have...

What kind of oil does my 2003 rm 125 need

For the gas tank= 2-stroke motor oil mixed at 32:1 *stock mixing ratio* [that's 32-parts gas to 1-part oil]. **[I personally use a 40:1 mixture for trail riding,..and 50:1 mixture for racing at the local MX track].

I have a techumseh snow blower 5.5 engine. I need to know what type of fuel it needs. It says on the outside something about a 50:1 oil gas mix and lists some types of oils. Where can I get these oils,...

go to your hardware store and ask for some 2 cycle 50:1 oil, mix that with a gallon of gas and you're good to go. Before you mix, make sure that you read the oil container for it's recommendations! You can purchase a small container of oil that is all measured for 1 gallon of gas
