Question about 2002 Yamaha TT-R 125

DOES NOT WANT TO START GOOD, BUT RUNS FINE. HOT WEATHER YOU CAN GET STARTED, BUT COLD WEATHER FORGET IT. ADJUSTING CARB DOESN'T SEEM TO HELP.

If the problem is only in cold weather, the mixture it is lean. If the carb adjustment didnt help, it may need a bigger idle jet.
If every thing else is ok like valve clearances , it should start with a couple of kicks.
make sure the choke works, and the air cleaner is serviced and oiled. If the bike sits for any lenght of time between rides, drain the carburator before the first kick.

Its a 4 stroke trail bike. They never like to start when its cold. Just make sure the plug is good and make sure the choke is actually working. Other than that, kick it until you get mad, then kick it some more and it will eventually start.

ZZ4 with HEI Ignition starts good in warm weather will not start in cold weather. New HEI parts, new Elderbrock carburetor. Engine turns over extremely fast so its not battery.

Could be the neutral safely switch is still not adjusted properly. With your foot on the brake and the transmission in neutral, move the shifter a little bit in either direction while holding the key in the start position. If the starter engages, the switch needs to be adjusted.

I am not sure where you live, the problem is a common problem. Most generator manufacturers now offer a cold start or cold weather option, this is an oil warmer, but more importantly a carb heater. I would contact a Briggs CERTIFIED generator dealer and ask them if there is that option available

I put new fuel new filter cleaned carb and replaced enrichener, checked for power to enrichener, and was good, if I hand choke or use starting fluid it starts but is cold blooded but then runs fine wh
The blast almost doesn't need the enrichener unless your trying to start it in 30 degree weather. I would think that you have a fueling issue - carb air passages are plugged. There is a lot to cleaning a Keihn CV carb correctly. if not done the right way it will act just as you describe.

When it is cold my truck dose want to start but if its hot outside it works fine
there are a few things that come to mind when I hear this type of problem, you might want to start looking at the cold air start assist spring on the side of the carb. this is a coil spring that is just like a tremostat in your house, works the same way if its not moving then your truck will not start int he cold, but will start fine in the hot weather.

During cold weather the engine runs fine but during warm weather the engine dies
Could be a problem with your intake air temp sensor or your coolant temp sensor. The most likely would be the coolant temp sensor. It may be reading cold and will make it run good as the engine is cold but as it warms it is not adjusting the air fuel ration to the proper levels making it run rough hot

Hello.

Sparkplugs. That will fix it.

You can choose between 3 types the normal the cold and the hot (performance) sparkplugs. The normal for medium temperatures is the best, the cold is suited for bellow 5º C temps. And the hot is for hot weather and performance usage.

Two things come to mind. First it could be not getting enough fuel when hot due to carb adjustment being too lean. That could be that the float level in the carb is set too low or the low speed jet is set too lean. When cold the choke circuit in the carb supplies the extra fuel required.
Second in some enjines that have low compression they start cold but when hot the compression drops below 60 psi and makes starting very difficult until engine cools down.
I suspect a fuel problem.

Check fuel pressure. Pump may have crapped out. If pressure is good, clean and rebuild carb.
