The chain won't stay on. I bought it used and besides the chain not staying on everything else is ok. I am wondering if there is a part missing that keeps the chain on better? As it is the way to hold it on are the two nuts that are outside the guard. In other words you put the guard over the bar then put the two nuts on and tighten them down. So the same nuts that hold the guard also hold the chain bar in place. So after a few minutes of usage the chain comes loose.
thanks

The damage is already done before you put the fuel filter in. (dirt in Carb) Remove your carb and dissesemble it and clean everything out and then put back on the machine with FRESH gas and you will be fine...run like a top !
Being a physical problem and lacking any clues about the bike we'll need you to observe and judge what is really happening to make the chain fall off. Use a search engine for "bicycle chain falls off" to get some ideas and guidance on identifying the dysfunction, then the fix(es).
Does the chain stay tight. If not it will fall off. Make sure the bar is fitting snugly against the body of the saw and that the chain is fitting in the drive sprocket properly. There should be a tensioner screw to help tighten the chain. Make sure that is secure. Otherwise take it back for refund or replacement.
in order for the remote control to work properly the fan has to be on its highest speed using the pull chain ... after setting the pull chain in the proper position you can tie up the chain or remove it to prevent others from changing the setting .. the remote will control the speed from then on ..
i hate to say it but that usually means that the inside gear of the clutch is wourpt were the chain sits, if your still paying for it i would bring it back to where you bought it and get a new one.
