Gear lever doesn't click - can't change out of 1st lever is not loose clutch works suggestions on taking it apart?
The problem is a bent shift fork. Best to have the shop do the repair. Most riders don't have the special tools needed much less the know-how to do the repair. The entire engine comes out then gets completely torn down, top end and bottom end. The center case splits and now the mechanic has access to the gears and shift forks. You will have at least 100 parts on the work bench. This is not generally a job for the home mechanic.
