The type of water pump used in most motorcycles usually dictates the use of a non-silica or dex cool style antifreeze. Many motor sports vehicles use a ceramic washer as part of the seal. Eliminating the rust scrubbing particles in the anti freeze extends the life of the pump by saving the washer and seal.

How many gallons of anti freeze in a 2006 Impala 3.9 LT?

12.2 qts or 3.05 gallons do not ad antifreeze to car. Use dexcool coolant already mixed at 50/50. If you add green yiu may have cooling and overheating problems I would use brand name dexcool

Capacities are in your owner manual.

What kind of coolant should I use in my 1997 HONDA 1100

Any non-silica formula 50/50 anti freeze. You want to use an anti-freeze that does not have scrubbing particles in it . A standard automotive anti-freeze that has silica particles to scrub rust out of cast iron motors will damage/shorten the life of the ceramic seal in modern motorcycle water pumps.

I recently bought a 2006 Honda VTX 1300. I need to take it in for 8,000 mi service but will not be able to for several weeks. I checked oil level and it is good but i noticed on the bottom of the bike...

The tank is an overflow tank for your radiator. You should use a 50/50 mixture of anti freeze and distilled water. The anti freeze should be a non-silica brand like GM Dexcool, Honda, etc. You do not want anti freeze with rust scrubbing particals because the particles will cause premature wear on the water pump seal.

I bought a 2007 pt cruiser [used] 30k and had no owners manual i noticed its almost time to add some anti-freeze and the caps says special coolant see owners manual what kind do i need?

Do use anything but Mopar 100,000 or Zerex g05. As for manual> Sorry not good with links. Go to Chrysler's main website. On the website find TechAuthority, FREE downloads of manuals 2004 to 2010.

What type of anti freeze should I add?

Suzuki forenza uses Green silica based anti-freeze. If you mix the wrong kind with it, it will gum up your thermostat (90 dollars) and potentially mess with some of the smaller cooling fluid tubes and passages. Not to mention, the water pump is not to fond of gritty fluid. So if you see discoloration in the bright green fluid, better drain it, flush the system out with a garden hose for 5 to 10 minutes, and refill it with new fluid.

2006 PT Cruiser. Where does the anit-freeze get put in at? The radiator cap says"Do Not Remove". Do you at at the reservoir?

The anti-freeze is put in the radiator. I know that the radiator cap says,"Do Not Remove". Do not be afraid though. This warning is only applicable when the engine is warm and running.
You can open the radiator cap when the car has not been used for about 6 hours without any danger.
Like you can park your car overnight and put the anti-freeze in the morning. Just take not to splash the anti-freeze onto your clothes.
Thank you.
