Should be like most 4cylinder bikes...left side coil #1 and #4 plugs right side #2 and #3 plugs. try it if it dont start, then i was wrong. but thats what is on my cbr.

Yes, there are specific sockets for spark plugs, usually a deep socket with a rubber insert to stop the plug dropping out. For the ZX bikes you'll need a 'thin walled' type. eBay does them as a set for a sensible price.
If ur not hitting the rev limitter then it could b the gap on the spark plugs bad spark plug or wire.or high speed jets pluggin up or air filter starting to plug up or a burnt valve.
