The left front stem is broken. I have a replacement part. I need help figuring out how to remove the broken part and inserting the new one.

I would have to know the specific model that you have as they offer many styles, but if you can figure out how to remove the front wheel, you should clean off any muck on the stem and inside the tube and then spray with a silicone spray (in both places) and re-insert the stem into the tube. Spin the joimt around a few times to get the spray all worked in. Do not use an oil based spray like WD-40. It attracts more muck. This is fairly easy on the Evo engines.

Remove top of rocker box cover.
Ease up old valve (not a good time for gorilla tactics here), being careful not to pull valve off of stem, leaving stem in the hole.
A little spritz of WD-40 down the stem might help.

Position new valve stem into hole, push down on center of valve until stem pops into hole.
If difficult, a dab of oil might help.
After insertion, GENTLY pull up on edges of valve to make sure stem stays in hole.

Replace rocker box top cover, repeat for other rocker box.

Go for a ride!

The driver is held on the piston stem by a steel dowel/pin. There are nylon inserts on either side of the dowel to hold it in place. Pry the inserts out and press the pin out to seperate the driver from the piston stem. If you don't damage the inserts, you can reuse them. Bostitch recommends replacing them any time they are removed.

That thing that broke is the float. It supposed be attached to an arm that shuts off the water when the tub get full. Did ya just replace the garbage disposal? If so somebody forgot to knock out the plug for the drain hose. oopzy. Food screen clogged? Ya might need to get down in the impeller and see if a bone or piece of glass has gotten into it. have you seen this video?

if you want to put a DVD without need only to plug the computer and remove the cable and put the other one wants to

Ok, this is how you replace the lock on the front end.

1.Loosen upper triple tree clamp pinch bolts. Remove upper triple clamp and handlebars.

2.Loosen fork stem bolt and let fork stem drop down approx. 5 inches.

Note: On the left side of the steering stem there is a "half moon" indentation that has been machined into the steering stem for the lock. Let steering stem drop until this indentation is in full view.

3. Use a scribe and remove lead plug. (there is a flat looking place below the key lock. The lead plug is underneath this and it hides a set screw. Dig the lead plug out to get to the set screw)

4.Unscrew the set screw

5.Insert key in lock and turn partially.

6.Wiggle lock and pull until enough of the lock comes out to get a grip with pliers or other suitable tool.

7.Rotate steering stem slightly, while pulling on lock until lock is removed.

INSTALLATION

General
There is an internal boss in the left side of the steering head opposite the external boss. The end of the lock fits into this internal boss.

There is a hole in the bottom of the lock into which the set screw fits. This hole must be at the bottom when the lock is installed.

When the lock is correctly installed, a forward-facing flat on the lock will fit against a flat inside the external lock boss and the face of the lock will be flush with the face of the external boss.

1.Steering stem should be in above position. See steps 1 and 2 above.

2.Grease the end of the lock (the part that goes into the internal boss) and slide lock into external boss.

Note: Steering stem must be in locked fork position.

3. Move steering stem into locked fork postition. Rotate steering stem sligtly, while fully installing lock.

4.use Loctite 242 (medium strength blue) and install set screw

5.Use key in the lock and tighen set scrw until lock begins to bind; then back set screw out 1/2 turn.

6.Pound in lead plug (or use a good quality sealant)

7. Install fork stem, upper triple clamp and handlebars.

take it to a jeweler, but if u have another stem and crown remove the back and look for a small arrow pointing at a how. push down to release remaining parts and then insert the new one

I take it that the mirror broke off leaving only the stem broken off flush to the mounting hole in the clutch lever's mounting bracket. Right?. If so you will need to carefully drill a hole in the center of that broken stem and use a removal tool to extract it by turning it counter clockwise.

Honda shop or maybe ebay for the "new" mirror. Your choice!

A good tip to know is to remove the knob then remove the shaft and replace the shaft and innards with the new part instead of trying to dig out the complete vale and replace it. if the stem breaks remove it and use just the stem on the new part

There is a small hole wear you insert a allen wrench or allen key to loosen a set screw to get the button out.
