Question about 2003 Suzuki GSX 1300 RZ Hayabusa

1 Answer

Starting in nuetral and missfiring

My hayabusa is 2004 with 19000km, i just bought today from a dealer and found 2 problems, 1 is it wont start in nuetral but will start in first gear, the CHEC light came up briefly, secondly when accelerating and the engine reaches 7000rpm it missfires and gets a boost of power back, its not the chain because they set it up and i checked it myself, its coming from the engine?

The starting is controlled by neutral, clutch & side-stand switches which go to an ignition relay
If it starts in all gears except neutral but the neutral light comes on when it should then suspect a dodgy relay
For the other problem I need more info, are there ANY modifications (exhaust / air filter / carb mods)

Ride safe

I bought a 2005 Ford Five Hundred last May.... I had no problem until when it started getting really cold and it started snowing. It wont start everytime I get in my car when its really cold or snowing ...

Since you bought it, what has been done in the way of
preventative maintenance

I would have layed it up for two weeks, and gone through the
entire vehicle,changing all fluids,spark plugs,checked fuel
pressure and on and on.

You probably bought a vehicle that is 5 or more years old,
that other than, oil changes, is the same as when it came off the
train and car hauler, on the way to a dealer

That won't work on todays high tech vehicles

Snow and cold, has little to do with todays electronic wonders

You do realize, your asking a question, when as I said, we have no vehicle
history

I don't think you understand the technology, not anyone can work on todays
vehicles. You need a 2 or 4 year college degree, if your just starting out

I will help you when you give me something technical to work with

I have a 2001 suzuki katana 600 i just bought today we cant get it started bcuz the neutral light wont go on it is actually in nuetral its will move freely but the light isnt on and without the light on...

switch in tranny needs adjustment or replacement. Try grounding the wire to the trans and see if the light will come on. If yes, you know it's the switch.

Hi, i have a 99 suzuki hayabusa, engine is turning over but wont start, kill switch seems 2 b switching itself off, when its in the off position with ignition on the temp gauge goes 2 top, any ideas??...

You would be best to visit a good reliable mechanic, the bike not starting is one thing but the temp gauge is another and you could have a serious short, better safe than sorry

Number 1 cylinder misfire

No the only thing the san would show is a missfire, you need to test the injector and make sure it is getting fuel to the cylinder

Car won't start. Bought privately 2 days ago, started fine, now will not start. Starter replaced in Feb '08, but less than 500 miles put on car since then. Checked battery and it is fully charged. No sound...

check for constant battery power on the main lug of the starter constantly. and check the small wire for battery power while trying to start if you are missing the small wire power could be your starter relay or ignition switch, you can also try jumping the two posts on the starter with the key on if it starts you are missing the starter signal decribed above (small wire) please rate -jeff
