With engine off check fan blades and shrould (plastic around fan) for cracks or if loose also check tailpipe bent at end if you backed into something. also check air filter box to make sure its tightly shut.

SOURCE: 2003 Jeep Liberty heater fan problem

It is the blower motor resistor. Look under the passanger side dash and locate the fan housing (looks round and black in color. Then locate the resistor it will be in that housing usually withtwo ten millimeter nuts or two simple screws holding it in. unplug the harness to the resistor and remove the resistor. Part store price is approx. 50.00. Note: on aftermarket (not Jeep) resistor sometimes you have to modify the housing a little to get it in. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: how to replace a blower motor resistor in a 2004 jeep liberty

You have to take the glove box off and it is right behind it, need a #20 Torx to take it replace it. The glove box is the hardest part of the job, I just replaced mine on an 05 Grand Cherokee but it didn't fix it for me, was well worth the $8.60 to try though.

Makes high pitch whistle

Do you have the brakes taken apart once a year,
on all your vehicles, for rust removal, inspection,
needed work & lubing, that is required
Have to flush brake fluid every 2 years, if you
don't want moisture in the system ruining it
Don't know what the noise is,work on the
brakes & then get back to the noise, if it's
still there

I have a 2003 Jeep Wrangler that has a high pitch SQUEALING sound when I release the accelerator. Any ideas what's causing it or how to fix it?.

I know i have the same problem, and i also noticed than when i open the Hood the whistle just stops, so i figure out it must be some air cycling in or out osmewhere, I found out my air intake connected to throttle body was misplaced a weird gap was left open allowing air to whistle. u might wanna check there

2004 Jeep Liberty makes a loud whisling sound when speed exceeds 50MPH.

I had a 1962 pontiac that did the same thing, I found out it was a part of the grill. I found this out by covering the grill and driving the vehicle. Do not do this for long as you will overheat your engine, just to find out if it is in your grill. Sometimes a piece of trim or grill will get misshaped and cause the whistling noise.

2004 honda odyssey making whistle noise

I know this original question was written quite a few months back but I was wondering if you ever found out what the high pitch sound was. I just purchased a used 2005 Honda Odyssey and it is doing the exact same thing. Any advice?

2004 ford freestar 4.2L engine...high pitched

this sounds odd but mine did this when i replaced the wipers. it seems the design of the wiper frame was making a whistle at higher speeds. the freestar wipers are exposed on the window cowl and not hidden so they endure the winds at high speed. it is worth a shot.

When first driving, I hear a high pitched whistling sound while my foot is on the accelerator. As I pick my foot off the accelerator, the sound will stop completely or after a moment or two and then return...

I have the exact same problem, however reversed. My whistling sound stops when I accelerate and starts when my foot is off the accelerator. Frustrates me and am afraid to have it looked at for fear of the cost of fixing this problem. Have you since discovered what the problem is or was?

Gas in my engine oil

If there is gasoline in your oil the level should go up. and it would be thinner in viscosity. check and get back to me.
