You will probably need to find a manual, as the procedure covers a few pages, and it will explain the timing marks to reassemble.

Well i have a 1984 honda interceptor an its got a tick to it is it the timing change?? our is it the tightner?

I have a 1985 Honda Interceptor that I remember had a recall in 1984 for bad main bearings.

The engine new had a tick in it which was the valves opening and closing.

The engine has 4 valves per cylinder and is a V-four design.

I don't think you have any worries as long as it doesn't break on you.

I still have mine in the garage, but haven't run it for years.

Good luck in riding the bike around, as have many fond memories of doing so myself.

No not unless you split the chain(not reccomended),if your changeing the chain i would suggest new chain tensioners frt and rear cyl. they where known to go bad,i replaced mine in my interceptor and my v65 magna.
