Check pulse generators first, i found one burnt and one was open on my 87 hurricane 600. Ohm the wires out for opens or low ohm readings readings, they should be about 400ohms or more. if thats good then check out spark unit..if thats good then check to see if coils wires are getting 12v. Then if that is good check resistance of primary and secondary plug wires. or just replace them anyway and that one less thing to worry about. you have new plugs and wires. it can only really be the coils or pulse generator. hope this get you in the ballpark can iget a helpful on this thanks but if i helped you fix it by checking the pulse generators i'd like a very helpful, appreciate!

1996 Toyota Corolla 1.6l what cause code p0301, p0401?

Code P0301 indicates a misfire in cylinder 1 of your 1996 Toyota Corolla 1.6L1. The most common causes of this issue are faulty spark plugs, worn-out spark plug coil packs, or faulty ignition system 123. You mentioned that you have already replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor button. However, it is possible that the new parts you installed are faulty or not installed correctly. You may want to double-check that the spark plugs are gapped correctly and that the spark plug wires are connected to the correct spark plugs

Code P0401 indicates a problem with the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system . The EGR system is responsible for reducing the amount of nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from the engine. The most common causes of this issue are a faulty EGR valve, clogged EGR passages, or a malfunctioning EGR vacuum modulator . Since you have already replaced the PCV valve, it is possible that the new part is faulty or not installed correctly. You may want to double-check that the PCV valve is installed correctly and that the EGR valve is functioning properly. If these two code problems persist, it is best to take your car to a trustworthy repair shop to diagnose the issue as quickly and accurately as possible .

Hi Kevin:
Old Dude Wisdom:
- Spark at the plug - pull some plug(s), reconnect the lead, and check for spark at the electrode. Hot and Blue
- Fuel in the jug - Fuel injection or carb?
If plugs are wet, fuel but no spark
If plugs are dry, no fuel.

check gas/oil, if all is good the pull the spark plug, hook the spark plug back up and pull the cord while observing the spark plug for spark, may be the coil. Hope this helps Tim

Car dying out after spark plug change

Sounds like either wires are not connected properly, or need new set of wires. More likely wires are installed incorrectly. One other possibility is wrong plugs or installed improperly

Poulan Pro 42 chainsaw will not start

I had the same problem on a P3416 saw. I had a new Champion plug and coil installed. I tested the plug by removing it and plugging it in the coil wire and ground the end of the plug on the engine block. It did not spark so I bought another plug. This one fired but it was real weak so I loosen the coil and slipped a piece of light folder paper between the coil and magnets and tighten the bolts. Got a better spark and got it to run.

Spark plugs

on top center of the engine. You would have to remove the intake hose. There is 6 COPs or Coil over plugs mounted on top of the sparkplugs. Remove those and the sparkplugs are accessable. Hopefully this helps
