I'd start by thoroughly cleaning out your carb.,...check/replace the main jet with a leaner, [higher #], jet...change/clean pilot jet also,..spray carb cleaner in all holes and blow out w/compressed air. Re-check your float height and/or any damage to the float pin+tangs etc. Maybe try a 50:1 gas:oil mixture. Perform a leakdown test,..air will cause boggs as well. *[p.s.; does bike blow oil out exhaust?].
It depends on what model the bike is. They didn't start putting them in until 1986 so if its newer than that then it has one. Go to a place like www.mrcycles.com and look at Suzuki parts, pick your year and model and look for exhaust valve.
First check the exhaust and air box are in good condition no holes or cracks ,as either will ruin the fuel mixture especially on a 2 stroke .
all so try a new plug as this can foul up and is a cheap starting point.
Put fresh fuel in and drain carb if req.
Also check air filter is clean and set fuel mixture properly, cleaning the carb or injection nosel may help.
If a power valve is fitted check it is moving ,remove valve cover and exhaust at the barrel then pull the cable the valve must compleatly expose the exhaust port at fully open.
Finally if this does not work the piston or bore may be worn very common on 2 strokes ,look down the exhaust port and look for scores down the barrel.and replace if worn.
I will come back to you with the method for adjusting this.
If you set the power valve to open at a higher rpm or restrict the vavle from opening to its maximum then your problem will be solved.
If you do the latter though you will definately lose your power at high rpm.

Clean and dry the air filter? Go back to a stock main jet, at least to check things out? Are "O" ring seals on the main jet going bad?Partial internal collapse in exhaust (remove exhaust pipe & do a quick run down the alley), Install a new stock NGK spark plug, Be sure battery connections are clean and tight, Be sure intake manifold and carb are good and tight.
