Kawasaki Bayou 220, cleaned carb. dont completely understand the floats but all jets are clear. reinstalled fuel lines, throttle, and choke cables. Starts great, also idles great. BUT when i test drive it:...

To start with was it fine before you cleaned it? Is any gas over flowing from the carb at any time? Does it start well when cold or hot? Will it take throttle slowly but not quickly? Did you adjust your air screw? These answers will help me determine what is going on. Did you pull the float off? Did you check the choke and make sure reassembly is correct?

2006 Kawasaki KX 250 pops at high RPM?

Hi, Bill if your carburetor or exhaust is:
COUGHING is usually caused by an air leak in the intake system and will generally have the same telltale signs, a wet or damp build up of oil/gas seepage at the intake manifold to cylinder head or carburetor to intake manifold connection and in rare instances a worn throttle plate shaft and or seals.
POPPING on deceleration is usually caused by a lean fuel condition or an air leak in the exhaust system and is generally located where black carbon soot is seen as a flashing build up from any joint connection. This condition can easily be remedied by removing and cleaning both joint pieces and reassembling with high temp silicone and torquing the exhaust clamp to the proper spec.
SPITTING is usually caused by a faulty accelerator pump and or nozzle, or the float bowl needle and seat leaking and overflowing through the main jet mixing well nozzle, or the air-fuel mixture screw is adjusted too lean.
BACKFIRING is usually caused by a sticky/tight intake valve or a timing issue, 180 degrees out or cam chain off 1or 2 teeth.

2006 Kawasaki KX 450 F hard to start when cold

Hi, Jncustomchev before you start it in the morning, pull the spark plugs and sniff them. Do they smell like gasoline? Are they wet? If so, you may have fuel leaking past the needle and seat in the carburetor and flooding the cylinders.
Use a voltmeter on the battery an hour after you shut the bike off. It should be at least 12.6 volts. Check it again in the morning. It should still be 12.6 volts or more. If not, something could be drawing current when the key is off.
If it's a carbureted bike and the ambient temperature is warm, you may be over-using your choke/enrichner. Try cranking it with the choke turned off first and then try half-choke, and then full choke. If you start with too much choke it will flood. After it starts, shut the choke off after 15 - 30 seconds and then use the throttle to keep the bike running until it warms up. Over-using the choke will soot up your spark plugs.
A fresh set of properly gapped spark plugs can make a lot of difference in how easily a bike starts.
Engines need a richer fuel mixture when they're cold. An intake leak can also cause hard starting because it leans out the air/fuel mixture.
After you get the bike started, spray some WD-40 or carb cleaner around the carburetor intake manifold seals. If the RPMs change, you have an intake leak.

Cub cadet rzt50 with kawasaki engine keeps flooding and dying. changed plugs fuel filter. dismantled carb and celaned throroughly. check for spark it was good. i can see gas filling up into chamber jsut...

Check that the choke and throttle adjustment are synced correctly. It sounds like what happens when the choke is coming on too early in the throttle application (choke applied when in the non choke full throttle start detention). I don't have the exact method without looking it up....something like this-a pin goes through a hole in the throttle bracket to line up the throttle and choke together while you make the cable adjustment. Your engine manual should give the procedure. If that doesn't take care of it then suspect worn needle and seat on the carburetor.Hope this helped Tim

I can start my 05 kx250f up with the choke on but when i turn it off it just dies i cant even get it to stay running by giving it gas

sounds like your jets are stopped up,may need to do a good clean/rebuild,sounds like the pilot jet is not allowing fuel to flow at idle because of the stopped up issue.(carb kit).
