Check your plugs. If all four are sparking then your carbs are out of sync. They will need to be re-balanced.

If you are capabable in doing this job your self, you will need a screwdriver that fits your adjuster screws and a CarbTune Carb balancer.
Remove your tank and airbox.
You should see the flaps inside your carbs. These should open when you move your throttle.
Start on the outside carbs to get them balanced with the 2 centre ones.
To start, unscrew the adjusters all the way out. then screw them in until the 2 outer carbs move at the same time as the inner 2 carbs
Once this is done then adjust the centre balancer to syncronise the 2 left hand carbs to the 2 right hand carbs.
Now if you have done this correctly, all four carbs should open at the exact same time.
If you have a Carbtune balancer, remove the plugs from the top of your inlet manifold and plug in the hoses from the carbtune balancer.
Start the engine and adjust the screws until the weights inside the Carbtune balancer all read the same.
Once done, remove the balancer, replace the plugs into the inlet manifold, refit the airbox and tank and it should run so much better.

If your not 100% confident to unertake this job yourself, take the bike to your local dealer and ask to have the carbs balanced.

all about backfires. A clue is if it backfires through the carbs or out the exhaust? Timing or weak mixture?

( 93 cbr600f2 was crashed and rebuilt seems to have hot spark but wont start smells like its flooding Made just a couple gurgle sounds out of the pipe then a small backfire where do i start fire carbs...

sound like it's flooded over. i have one of these bikes for a stunt bike and had a similar problem before. use a fully charged jump box. connected it to your battery and hold the start button. don't use choke or give it any gas either. it mike take about 5-15 minutes to start, but it will.

Won't Start!

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, a couple of ideas that could be explored:
  • check/clean/replace the sparkplugs;
  • verify presence of spark on plugs when cranking;
  • drain all carbs, verify no water, sand, rust in the the bowl;
  • verify sufficient fuel is delivered to all carbs;
  • verify all vacuum hoses attached to appropriate ports;
  • worst case scenario, carb cleaning/rebuilt maybe required.
Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Bike wont turn over

I have a 1996 cbr 600 f3 and when I first bought it used it would not turn over for the life of it. It turned out that a major problem was the spark plugs needing to be replaced. Thats the first thing to do. Next clean out those carbs with some good carb cleaner.
