Hi,might be able to help,it sounds to me like you have a blocked low speed or (pilot jet)this normally occurs when a bike has been left sitting for a while, what happens is that the fuel will evaporate in the carb leaving behind a deposit which will easily block a jet,you will need to remove the carbs from the bike, remove the bowls, inside you will find the brass jets, very carefully remove them and clean them using a carb cleaner spray can and also clean through the holes that the jets came from, clean the whole assembly thouroughly, when you put the jets back in DONT over tighten them ,they are very easily broken, hope this helps...cheers

I have a 05' brute force. It starts and idles great but when i drive it misses out and when i let off the gas it backfires. Any ideas why? I have cleaned the carbs and changed spark plugs

Do you have a multi-meter and can check your cdi? The cdi is known as an igniter. It's what actually sends the signal to the ignition coil to fire down to the plug. If you can test your cdi and let me know, I'll see if I can find the specs - also, are you able to check your timing?

My brute force 750i 2005 keeps backfireing when i give it gass

It sounds like you may have water in the gas. Try draining the gas and replacing it with it fresh gasoline.

"06" Brute Force 750 back firing thru the carburators

Sounds like you may have to do a complete carburetor cleaning. Also, after this is done, be sure to put the breather box back and that includes the box cover. That bike is not worth a fiddlers, ..... without that cover put back on it. If the carburetor cleaning is not done properly then you'll still have the problem. Also, be careful when taking the carbs apart, they have different size jets in them and don't move anything in regards to linkages. Those carbs are also syncronized.

If that don't do it, then maybe, you'll need your valve clearances adjusted.

Good luck
