from Honda, and follow the operating under severe
conditions schedule. This a high performance version
of the civic and should demand more frequent maint.
My 05 Accord owners manual, under normal operating
conditions, has some ridiculous 10k for the oil and 20k
for the filter change sched. Meanwhile, my Honda service
rep. pulled me to the side and says change oil and filter
every 4k. You be the judge.

You should be able to press "cancel" or "sched" to bring back the schedule function. It will display "following schedule" on the right side of the display when the schedule is on. If you press "sched" then "edit" you can make changes to the programming schedule.
