Any honda dealer shoud be able to provide you with a new ignition barrel wich is cheaper than a complete switch & provideing the mongrels who knocked it of didnt hack the wireing loom to bits somewhat easier to install you might also want to check with your local locksmith before going to the dealership he may be able to repair & rekey the exsisting switch however if you do have to replace the switch as a complete unit the electrical conection is not to daunting from memory its multiplug conection so diference in colour code wont be a problem

Someone stole my motorcycle and destroyed the ignition switch how do I hotwire Kawasaki EX250.

Normally you can't because the ignition is electronic and has an immobilizer.

Just buy a new switch or you will have it stolen again.

I've lost my keys to my Mitsubishi Colt 2003 what do I do. The locksmiths asked me what is the key number? I had no idea my keys had a number what do I do?

Unfortunately this is going to be an expensive fix. Most modern cars have electronics inside the key which communicates with the immobiliser system in the vehicle. This is what the 'Key Number' is for. It is specific to only your car as it is there to prevent the car being stolen.
You will need to replace the entire ignition barrel and contact a Mitsubishi dealer with your details to get the Key Number for your car. You will then need to buy new keys and have them coded to your car's immobiliser system using the Key Number.

Change locks

most Gm use a chip in the keys. the doors with be easy to ,but the ignition will not. you will need to go to the dealership and have them remove the lock from the ignition and re program the new key

My battery went flat fitted a new battery a week ago been riding it with the lights on and now the new battery has gone flat

Could you have left the ignition switched on? Recharge the battery, refit it, with the ignition switched off,
connect the poss feed first, secondly as you replace the earth wire, if you get any level of spark as you touch the earth to the battery, then you have a voltage drain, this could be a result of external accessorze like an allarm, to a faulty rectifier, if you have no spark then there is no drain and you would have to question the integrity of the battery,

I changed the ignition and igntion switch on my 2003 chevy impala and my car wont start now !! Help Please

You have changed a component that needs to be recognized by the ECU otherwise the ECU tells the immobilizer that there is a temper with ignition wires and car will not start as it thinks it is being stolen. Get the car to a garage to reprogram the ECU to recognize the new ignition.
