The cold pipes means the bike is not firing on those cylinders. Replace all the plugs and start it. Or you will need some elecrical diagnosis. Chaz Moto DC

MY MATES SONS GSX 400 (94) HAS STOPPED WE CAN'T GET A SPARK. CHECKED THE PLUGS AND CHANGED THEM CHECKED THE IGNITION PICK UPS.. VOLTS GOING DOWN READ 6.8 COMING BACK UP READ 5.8.. NOT SURE IF THIS IS WRONG...

Just a thought, have you checked all the fuses are located correctly and connectors are all mating. CDI units do fail and there's no way of testing it at home, all you can do is check for supply voltage 12V, ground or negative bonding (using an ohm meter/multimeter) check for varying voltage from ignition pulse generator, finally check voltage at the coils, you should expect to see a fairly high voltage 11-12V. Not sure where you would get one as it's quite a rare bike, a Suzuki dealer would be your best bet, maybe a GSXR400 one will work but don't quote me on that.

Suzuki gsxr 400 gk76 which ht leads go where from coils

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Almost always on Suzuki 4 cylinders, the left (when seated) igntion coil supplies cylinders 1 & 4 while the right ignition coil supples 2 & 3.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

LEAKING FUEL

You need to get some new float needles, and have the carbs cleaned and the float heights set correctly.

LEAKING OVERFLOW PROBLIM

it sounds to me like the carb float levels are out of adjustment and it is overfilling the bowls,or,the needle valve seats are worn and leaking, which will allow fuel to continue filling the bowls even though it looks like they are closed, remove the carbs from the bike, remove the bowls, turn the cabs upside down close the floats(push them right to the top, this simulates full bowls)then blow throgh the fuel inlet pipe,if you can hear air escaping from around the seats they are faulty, also check that the seats themselves are tight in the carb body,i dont know why but gsxr carbs seem to shake the valve seats loose..hope this helps

Specifications , Air/fuel mix for my LS400 88' savage

Is the compression release operating properly? Is it stuck open a bit? Is the head gasket blown? Normal compression is 125psi to 150psi. This sounds like a stuck compression release, blown head gasket or burned valves. A mechanic will need to pull the cylinder head and do a valve job on it if the compression release or gasket is not the problem.

GSXR 750 Slingshot wont rev past 5000rpm, with or without choke

I have seen this before a few things to do too make sure. First take the air filter out and shine a light use your fingers to move the slides up and down I suspect the springs that go on the slide is not seated in center you can tell from the slide going halfway and hanging up. Next, the boots on the slides only go on 1 way there is a notch on the carbs for them. I would guess this would fix you up if not we can get deeper into it with air-fuel mix screw settings.good luck
