I have a 1987 Honda Shadow VT700 that has a 3 wire fuel pump that the replacement is no longer available. What can I use in place of it?

The blue wire is the "signal" coming from the ignitor box under your seat. use a 4 wire relay with that blue wire as power for the relay, add a ground for the circut to activate and run the black and black w/blue to the "switched" blades of the relay. Black is power from the ign, black w/blue is the hot lead to the fuel pump. I realize that the original poster is long gone but hopefully this will help others in the same position.

I use a automotive electric fuel pump. Just wired in to a switched fuse on the fuse block.
