I have a techumseh snow blower 5.5 engine. I need to know what type of fuel it needs. It says on the outside something about a 50:1 oil gas mix and lists some types of oils. Where can I get these oils, how do I mix. What do I mix it with , how do I load the fuel etc.

STIHL makes a really good oil for the 50:1 ratio. A STIHL chainsaw place sells the oil in little bottles. I bottle for one gallon of gas. Just mix the one gallon of gas with the one bottle of oil, shake it up a bit and pour the mixture in the engines gas tank. I bought a one gallon plastic gas container and put some spray paint on the out side ot it so I would always know the painted container would be mixed gas. Not to use the mixed gas in a different engine.

Go to your hardware store and ask for some 2 cycle 50:1 oil, mix that with a gallon of gas and you're good to go. Before you mix, make sure that you read the oil container for it's recommendations! You can purchase a small container of oil that is all measured for 1 gallon of gas

Noma snow blower G2145000 Manual

If this is a 2 stroke engine you will need to use a 40 to 1 mixture of gas and two stroke oil. Mix the fuel in a larger fuel can and this makes the measuring a LOT easier. 5 litres of gas needs 125ml of two stroke oil. A 20 litre 'Gerry' can is four times bigger so you put in 500ml of oil. This way you've got a handy supply of ready mixed fuel so you can just fill and go.

I have a 87cc mastercraft snow blower. Does it require oil because all I see is the tank for gas

Look on gas cap or for stick near gas cap. From picture looks like a 2 stroke that means you need to mix gas and oil. Look for tag or sticker that says 32 to 1 or 50 to 1 that is mixture of gas and oil. Mixing directions will be on back of oil jug when you buy.Hope this helped.

What is the oil and gas mix for a 3690 Toro snow blower - what is the ? strong of this machine.

cannot find 3690 anywhere. do you have the model correct?
most newer 2 stroke engines are 50:1 but mix it closer to 40:1 if you want to have the machine last forever. 50:1 is to please the environmental folks while it is a bit under lubricated for the engine's liking

Do I need to mix oil with the gas to run the snowblower?

No. Most engines that take a load like pushing and throwing snow use a 4 stroke engine that has oil in the motor unstead of mixing gas like a two stroke.unless if specified on the gas cap or a sticker on the machine hope this helps oh change oil every two snow seasons or depends on how much u use the blower

Need gas and oil mixture for 25 cc ut 08083 blower

Two-cycle engines use a mixture of oil and fuel to power and lubricate the engine. Homelite blower engines use a ratio of 50 parts gasoline to 1 part two-cycle engine oil. Two-cycle engine oil is commonly sold in 2.6-ounce containers; add it to 1 gallon of gas to achieve the 50:1 ratio. Two-cycle engine oil for outboard motors is not compatible with Homelite blowers.Use premium fuel, the blower, weedeater, etc. will last much longer!

Oil petrol mixture for Rockwell 26cc weedeater

Two cycle engines run on a mixture of gasoline and oil. Each engine type is designed to run on a specific gas-to-oil mix ratio.
IMPORTANT: Use only oil that is labeled for use in "Two-cycle" or "Two-stroke" engines. Home Depot and other stores now have "premixed fuel" of gas and 2 cycle oil.
To mix two-cycle fuel, start by putting correct amount of oil in gas can. Then slowly add correct amount of gasoline. Do not try to mix gas and oil directly in gas tank of equipment.

IMPORTANT: Do not use any fuel that is over 30 days old. Do not mix more fuel than you are likely to use in a month. Old fuel can gum carburetors and prevent starting. Always use fresh fuel.

The chart below shows correct amount of oil per gallon that each mixing ratio requires. Expect that yours will be between 32 gas to1 oil and 50 to 1. 32:1 and 50:1 are most popular.
Ratio GAS:OIL UNITED STATES OIL per 1 U.S. GALLON Gasoline
(128 oz.)
*INTERNATIONAL OIL per 1 IMPERIAL GALLON Gasoline
(160 oz.)
*INTERNATIONAL OIL per 1 LITER Gasoline
(metric)
32:1 4 oz. 5 oz. 31.25 mL 40:1 3.2 oz. 4 oz. 25 mL 50:1 2.6 oz. 3.2 oz. 20 mL

I have a 8 hp snow blower,I would like to know what the oil capacity of engine and what type of motor oil i should use. What weight oil?and can you use regular sae motor oil automotive type non detergent ?

Your question as I received it did not specify the engine make, but most 8 hp Techumseh, B&S and Powermore engines take 22 to 32 oz of oil. Buy a quart, put two-thirds of the quart in the engine and check the level with the dipstick or fill hole. Add more if needed to come up to the "full" mark.
All the manufactures and Craftsman recommends 5W30 for 4 cycle winter use.
You can use regular sae oil, but I prefer to use Mobil ONE or a heavy duty oil because air cooled engines run hotter than car engines. Look for a SC/SD or greater rating on the bottle.
Change your oil once a year.
Feel free to as any other questions about your snow blower. Don't forget to rate this answer!

Need to know gas mixture

Yours is not a current model and I did not find a manual. The following is an excerpt from a 26cc MightyLite Blower/Vac UT08550/UT08951 "Operator's Manual":
This product is powered by a 2-cycle engine and requires pre-mixing gasoline and 2-cycle lubricant. Pre-mix unleaded gasoline and 2-cycle engine lubricant in a clean 1 gallon container approved for gasoline.
Recommended fuel: This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline intended for automotive use.
Mix Homelite Premium Exact Mix lubricant with gasoline according to the instructions on the package. If Premium Exact Mix lubricant is not available, use a high quality synthetic 2-cycle engine lubricant, mixed at 2.6 oz. per gallon (US).
Do not use automotive lubricant or 2-cycle outboard lubricant.
NOTE: Premium Exact Mix fuel mix will stay fresh up to 30 days. DO NOT mix quantities larger than usable in a 30 day period.
PREMIUM EXACT MIX (50:1)
GasolineLubricant
1 gallon (US) 2.6 oz.
1 Liter 20 cc (20 ml)

If properly adjusted your blower will operate fine on 50:1 regardles of what the manual reads. HTH
