The tach is trying to work,but only shows it is tryiny towork but not right rpm,like a broken cable,not shure where to strart.

Most Intellitrox Tachs will work on 1,2,4,6,8,10,and 12 cylinder engines. The mini-tach (MS9002) only works on 4,6 and 8 cylinders.

So if you have the mini-tach and do not have 4 or 6 or 8 cylinders, you should use a different tach. If you have a different unit, or have 4 cylinders, then see the second step below from their installation guide.

When you have finished programming the settings, turn off the ignition to retain them in the gauge's memory. Next time you turn on the ignition, your new settings will be the default.

Are you sure you are counting the gears right? Sound like Torque converter lockup is not working.

vss has probably gone bad. vehicle speed sensor ( vss)

Please mention the make and model of the ride you are referring to?
The rpm pick up sensor may have become dirty with grease or mud. If your ride is old then the tachometer cable appears to have broken

tach get there in put drive from distubiter look for broken wires or at the worst tach is shot.

Engine? Check to see if the dist rotor turns while cranking with cap removed, if not most likely t-belt broken. In this case engine damage (ie:bent valves, damage/broken pistons)

Your tach still works because it reads engine rpm. The computer uses info from the speedometer but the signals for the tach and speedometer come from different places.
I can't remember if your speedometer is cable driven or electric but the sender is on the drivers side rear of the transfer case output tailshaft housing. If cable driven check that the cable isn't broken inside (I usually put an electric drill on the cable and run the drill to see if the speedometer works (some run backwards) If the drill is able to make the speedometer work check the gear that is inside the transmission by removing the part the cable is attached to. That drives the cable. If electric, check wiring and if OK, replace the sending unit.

All Dash Function Is Computer Controlled--It Can Be Scanned For Problem.

P0336 means Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance. Try replacing the crank sensor next.
