THE RATTLING YOU HEAR AT LOW R'S IS MORE THAN LIKELY THE CAM CHAIN RATTLING. THE CHAIN TENSIONER IS ADJUSTABLE TO A DEGREE BUT A BIKE OF THIS AGE(IF OVER SAY 10000 MILES) MAY NEED A NEW CHAIN TO ALLEVIATE THIS PROBLEM. LOOSE CHAIN CAN CAUSE CAM TIMING TO VARIATE CAUSING A SLIGHT MISFIRE.
THIS MISFIRE COULD ALSO BE THE RESULT OF DIRTY CARBS. IF SO THEY WILL NEED CLEANING AND SYNCING.

Cam chains hardly ever wear out. The rattling is probably from the clutch. If not from the clutch, it is needing new manual cam chain tensioners.

My 2002 St 1100 when i rev it at about 2000 reves it sounds like a loose chain in the engin, it goes out of it above and below 2000 reves

This type of problem is hard to diagnose without hearing the actual sound in person, but it's possible you're hearing the oil pump chain.

Does it sound like the rattling is coming from the front, bottom of the engine?

There is a chain under the clutch basket that drives the oil pump. Over time, the chain stretches and gets loose, requiring replacement. It goes without saying that failure of this chain will cause catastrophic damage to your engine, so it should be checked if it sounds like it's on its way out.

Here is a link to info on accessing the oil pump chain on an ST1100:

Rattle at 4000 constant reves

from what you describe it sounds like cam chain, use a long screwdriver ( or something like ) as a stethoscope and touch the engine with metal end, put the screwdriver handle to your ear and locate where the noise is coming from ( mind you dont get burned or anthing caught in moving parts )

Kmx 125 1995 engine rattle at high revs does rattle at low but not noticable till high revs also anyone know why a vfr400 grey import isnt charging battery? has new voltage regulator still not charging...

Rattle generally means detonation, which will destroy your engine. How quickly that will happen depends on the severity of the detonation. You can cure detonation by retarding the timing, cooling the intake charge, using higher octane gas, or lowering your compression.
