Where is the oil drain plug on the 2003 dyna 88 cubic inch?

Transmission oil is added, checked at a chrome plug with a 3/8 inch female hex socket head on the right top side of the transmission case. The engine oil drain plug is a 5/8 inch hex head plug on the bottom left side of the oil tank case under the spot where the jiffy stand rests in it up position.

the 96 cubic inch dyna fxd (2007 up) exhaust will not fit the 2003 dyna fxd. the sportster exhaust will not fit either.

no problem as long as you had oil in your bucket the engines fine..primary just lubes the drive chain and clutch.new plug and oil up to the bottom of your clutch basket and your good to go!

Your engine is a dry sump engine, the oil drains at the TANK and not at the engine.

I think the engine oil drain is on the bottom of the oil pan and the transmission oil drain is on the side. I'm really not positive as I work on the older models that have both drain plugs on the bottom of the pan. On my 1994 WideGlide, the drain plug in the middle of the pan is the transmission drain and the one on the front left bottom is the engine oil. Go to this site as look your bike up. The oil pan is on the bottom of the transmission. There are two drain plugs on the oil pan. They used to be one on the left front corner and one in the center. Now, they are both on the front edge of the pan right next to each other. The one on the outside is the oil drain plug. The transmission drain takes a hex key or allen wrench where the oil drain takes a standard wrench or socket.

remove the drain plug from the oil pan, you will need either a 3/4" box wrench or a 5/8" box wrench and the drain plug will be facing forward on the the oil pan. It is easiest to remove this drain plug from under the right side of the bike. put drain plug back in after about 10 m,inutes of drain time and tighten to 18 ft. lbs. Dont forget to change the oil filter as well.
